My controversial view is that a lot of these controversial views are not very controversial.
I don’t think this is either, really.just want to get it off my chest. Indeed, I expect most would agree with me that it is time to retire the pre-match poem. It is too long. It does not help increase the atmosphere or build up to the match. It irritates me when he says “Derby Caanty”. People just ignore it.  The bloke who says “it’s in your DNA youth” can do one as well. Such things have become tired. Turn the volume down a bit, allow people to actually speak to each other rather than shout over the PR system and see if the much vaunted and often disappointing South Standers can do what they are supposed to and get the place going (although I have to say there have been some very good atmospheres this season and the SS has been OK… just not often enough - which might be seen as controversial both by those who think the South Stand is great and other who think they don’t do enough. I think they can generate good atmosphere, they just need to do it more often)

The Just Eat sponsor on our shirts a few seasons back, did not cause a spike in obesity levels across Derbyshire.

He was getting a rave review this morning on TalkSport from Jeff Stelling.  Apparently he 'terrorised' Hartlepools defence earlier this season, although i'm not sure how hard that is at the moment.

Will Hughes is a fairly average player. Greatly overrated by most Derby fans.

Sibley won't be a full back in the championship.  Does at job at League 1 but isn''t switched on enough over 90 at that level. Elder is Mr Glass.  Forsyth is Moses grandad.  I can see us looking.

How many of us were calling for Warne to be sacked because we didn’t make the play offs ? Yet how many of us are saying it’s harsh to sack Liam because he didn’t either ? 
Results .. a bit of patience and we made it, they have to start again. Foolish in my mind as, whatever the finishing position they had an incremental improvement. 
There are comments on this thread about itchy trigger fingers yet so many of us are just the same and will be again next season. For me, for at least the next 2 years, we don’t need to think about sacking a manager unless we are in danger of relegation and its force majeur . Building things takes time. Keep your powder dry. 
 

The EFL will no doubt hide behind their usual "rules are rules... and the clubs make the rules" nonsense. Well, seems yet again that the rules are just plain daft. No common sense. Just about everything that comes out of the EFL, EPL and FA seems designed to make life for football fans worse and, with it, the game. 

I know lots of factors contribute to things like this but there is a basic fact that the bloke conceded 85 league goals this season
Call me cynical but are we saying that they would have conceded well into the triple figures without him?
We need to be absolutely 100% sure if we're going to let Wildsmith go to sign this guy.
Let 23/24 League One's Golden Glove winner go for nothing, just to sign the statistically worst goalkeeper in the 23/24 Championship??

Every time there are proposal to limit spending, redistribute wealth, introduce external governance etc, the PL and FA publicity machines go into overdrive. 
Message is this is the best league in the world and we spend so much to keep it that way so hands off!
Is it the best any more?
Our so called best teams are failing in the European competitions to the extent that Germany now has the extra spot in the Champions League. Financial management of teams ranges from incompetent to rule bending that borders on illegal.
VAR whilst of good intent is a time wasting joke the way we use it.
The football is full of diving, fake injuries and boring tactics. Our teams are stuffed full of foreign players of dubious quality and starving home grown players the opportunity to develop and enhance the national teams.
I'm also convinced that skill levels are poorer than they have been for years. Misplaced passes, bad headers, ridiculous shots way off target.

They're not in Administration and they've got hugely wealthy owners. They'll survive. When they took the piss out of us, we were on the brink of oblivion and their taunts must have made some of our more vulnerable fans even lousier, so I think we're allowed a bit of schadenfreude at their expense.

I’m not going to take delight in the suffering of any set of fans.
They will be hurting, like we were.
