Geriatram reacted to Mucker1884 in Liam Rosenior
My fears for LR's reign are nigh on non-existent, as I don't want him to leave at this stage (due to my desire to see some stability within the club), I don't believe he deserves to be sacked at this stage (due to results thus far), I don't believe he's ready to resign at this stage (due to a total and uninformed guess!), and I don't believe Mr Clowes is about to pull the trigger, at this stage (again... total guesswork)
My opinion is that results are far more important than performances, certainly for this season... the season immediately after we were dragged from certain death.
I neither demand, nor expect us to put any team to the sword.
I am however, grateful that we have a club to support, and will remain delighted (and relieved!) if we manage to compete at a fair to middling ratio, or better... for this season, at least. In my mind, that means a comfortable mid-table slot or better, with no fears of relegation. We're currently "better", so that'll do for me, despite it being very early days (in the season).
Putting teams to the sword and/or realistic visions of play-offs/promotion would be a massive bonus this season.
Despite the lyrics, we are no longer "massive". We have no right to be "Up there where we belong". We are a L1 club, who have just had the life-support machine switched off, and are now learning to breathe for ourselves again, and walk on our own two feet again. It may well be a long crawl to recovery... but that is so much preferential to the alternative!
The Rams Live on. Long live The Rams.

For me as a 13 year old the Div 3 north seasons were some of the best times as a Rams fan, Ray Straw a 36 goal scoring Centre forward, Martin Mcdonnell still one of my all time favourite players, he was an ex paratrooper and if he fell to the ground he would do a parachute roll. I remember that team with a fondness matched only by the championship winning teams. I am looking forward to Saturday after noon football again this season, my interest was beginning to wain with all the midweek games I didn't attend. I have a feeling we will have a very good League 1 season, Champions maybe. But no 36 goal scorer. UPTR.

...just love that vision. Imagine the commentators "...Ohh, Mcdonnell crashes to the deck after a terrible lunging tack...no, wait he's straight back up again and the ref waves play on..."

Thank you for your email.
I cannot give you an exact date on season ticket delivery due to the high demand, but we are currently printing and processing season ticket cards and they will be with you before the first home league game.
Kind regards,

After much anguish I’ve decided not to renew my season ticket. Although my first game was nearly 70 years ago, due to finances and distance I’ve only had a season ticket for 4 seasons. I’m so pleased I managed it for at least a short time.
My health now means I can’t manage the train to Derby from Bristol and back in a day. When I do come to matches it’ll mean staying several days with my daughter and going to games with my son and granddaughters. I can’t always manage this and the expense of season ticket plus train fares is now too much for me.
However, I’ll be there v Oxford with my son and 3 of the kids - in spite of difficulty getting my son’s ticket as they said he was 122 years old so couldn’t purchase an adult ticket!
It’s been a rough old time for the club but I feel things are on the up and I’ll be at PP as often as I can.

Some people aren’t buying based on value for money and price per ticket. Some are buying to support the club.

The only figures we actually KNOW are the number of seats currently unavailable.
How many ST's sold so far? We don't know. All we know is that 10300+ sold in the first 2 days they were on sale. How many more were sold on Sat/Sun/Mon/Tue? They haven't said.
One thing I do know is that I will be buying a season ticket. My first in 40 years since emigrating. I still live abroad and might make between 6 and 8 games as per usual but there comes a time to stand up and do what you can for the club. I already pay £17.50 a month for RamsTV. I can afford a season ticket so will buy one. Bloody airlines are forcing plane tickets sky high but I'll just have to grin and bear it. 1 game a month at around 500 a throw all in. DTID.
