Spanish reacted to duncanjwitham in Embargo.
Going back over it, it does look like the LAP asked the EFL to refer it back. I assume the EFL allowed it for the reasons in the LAP report - there would be no right of appeal over the sanction if they didn't refer it back, and they wanted a shot at arguing their case for a stronger punishment.
From DC2:
To me that's pretty clear that they had no say over the actual decision, only the punishment for it.
In terms of reading between the lines, it's bits like this:
That DC2 clearly felt the need to include in their written report, for some reason...

I read it as LAP did not want to set the punishment as there wasn't a clear precedent (i.e. did not want to set one) however DC2 could not alter the ruling of the LAP, DC2's only job was deciding the punishment and to be fair, DC2's outcome of fine+restate accounts is the logical one.

LAP asked for permission from EFL to refer it back the DC but perhaps that was a courtesy thing?
reading between the lines?
the decision of DC2 - we declare that the annual accounts....did not comply with the requirements of the P&S rules.....
Seems pretty clear to me at least. I agree that they probably had little choice but there is no uncertainty over the decision at all

don't you think the club could have acted more quickly to present the info that was required, this seems to be going on a long time since the DC asked the club to restate, I would have thought the club would have anticipated this and have has a very good idea of how it looked weeks ago

I was running in the British athletics master yesterday which was wonderfully in Derby. After I finished I was able to meet up with my mates and got the rare chance to go to the game. Surprised a bit by the small attendance and the number of boro fans, feared the worse that we would be out sung but none of that. A much more positive PP and a general feeling of togetherness within the team and the supporters. Never thought we would be coping with all the offfield rubbish so we’ll. watching Jags made the price worth paying alone.

Bit radical but you might get a better response if you stop calling everyone else 'sheep' and inferring everyone who goes to pubs is an alcoholic.

Spanish reacted to G STAR RAM in Derby County vs Middlesbrough
Didn't really think the ref was biased against us, just poor throughout.
Think there were soft free kicks going both ways at times, although their theatrics were obviously more notable.
If the Jagielka incident was a free kick, which I don't think it was, then it should have been a sending off in all fairness.

Yep I don’t go often so the change is more marked for me maybe but SS led the noise and the whole ground joined in on several occasions

Spanish reacted to rammieib in Jagielka
The follow through - I simply ask what on earth is he supposed to do? He’s taken the ball as clearly as anything, and their player then comes across him.
Thats a foul on Jagielka to me, or at least that’s how they should be officiated. I know that’s not what the law book says but Warnock can go and do one with his comments.

Not selling season tickets will ultimately hurt the club, easy to decide not to go

Spanish reacted to Ambitious in The Championship 21/22
Relegated clubs don't only benefit from a £50m+ head start over everyone else in the league, but they can also make bigger losses over the 3 year rolling period. For example, Fulham who got promoted and came down, can make £61m loss over the three year period, whereas we (and others) can only make £35m loss. Sheffield United can make an £83m loss over the last three years.
However, it's clearly our amortisation policy that is giving us an advantage that's clearly making it difficult for the likes of Fulham to compete with us.

the context is someone has personal reasons to limit the risk of infection not that he has been scared by press articles. But you know that.
