EFL wasn't it, we didn't use the right methodology/correct accounts procedure in player valuations or something like that. Is anyone else getting worn out with this and the takeover...why can't we have a period where we can just enjoy staying up and look forward to next season with a new Manager and a refreshed squad.....

Well at least we had 48 hours without Derby stress...I feel refreshed.

They’ve got a bit of nerve considering they weren’t even in the championship when we we’re supposedly “cheating”
stinks of desperation and trying to piggy back on the tabloids

They'd drop the torches mate, then charge Derby with arson for the subsequent fire ?

Yeah, it's possible that a £30m loss that 'should' have occurred in a 3-year FFP window was moved outside of that window. But that 'should' is doing a hell of a lot of work. The tribunal report from the first hearing was crystal clear on the matter - the rules say absolutely nothing about how you amortize player values, only that it should be 'systematic'. If it's true that we are using a system that's used by other prem clubs, and has been signed off by our accountants, HMRC etc, then I don't see they have a leg to stand on.

Absolutely. Just to clarify your excellent summation @86 Hair Islands, "The whole thing is just embarrassing "...to the EFL's level of competence. (my emphasis). They are showing themselves to be nothing short of a torch-holding mob baying for "justice".

Did you miss the first hearing? That's exactly what they did and their 'independent expert' got absolutely destroyed.
Unless of course, you ae selling the club, something you appear not to grasp.
The new owner?
So thee are no current retail outlets in or around Price Park?
Can I buy your house please?
Err, I think you might have missed that bit too. The legal costs of the original hearing were passed onto the EFL member clubs, as will be the costs for the EFL appeal. This didn't go down too well with the clubs in question first time around and I'm equally certain they won't be best happy this time either.
For the gazillionth time, the actual charge being appealed relates to our amortisation policy, a policy that is a widely held accounting standard. The charge does not relate specifically to the methodology used and as such, this is not being contested, but rather to the fact that the way the practice was described in our annual report, 'could have been clearer'.

Love fozzy, has been a tremendous servant to the club
but if we’re looking to progress thenfor me he has to go or at least be used sparingly
today he had a mare ... it happens
but he’s looked more and more off the pace every week, truth be told I think that last injury has lost him 5 yards of sharpness ... he just looks slower in everything he does atm, passing, marking, reacting
Still totally respect what he’s done for the club though
Not having a pop at the guy there’s been nothing Iv enjoyed more that watching him at full tilt with some of those delicious first time low crosses that are a forwards dream

Actually I correct myself ... thought his passing was as Sharp as it has been for quite sometime today, found the forwards are numerous occasions first half with some nice slick passes
just had a mare at the back unfortunately

Marching on Together. They love talking about Derby ?
Your posting record so far is;
A thread saying we arent a big club in this division & hence aren't too big to go down. And that Watford and QPR are 'bigger' clubs than us
We shouldn't celebrate surviving yesterday as thats tinpot
We have broken FFP rules & should expect to get a points deduction
You reek of an oppo fan. Got anything nice to say about Derby County?

Derby after Cocu left
Derby by end of the season
Technically correct but the margins here are so tight. 35 games to make up a 2 point deficit on 4th from bottom & were still reliant on results elsewhere & a points deduction to stay up.
It's the most hollow of achievements.
