You would also hope the likes of Justin Walker and Wassall would know a lot about some of these players.

290 games. 213 of those on the right, 28 on the left, 40 at CF and 5 as an SS. He's a winger.

Superb initiative. Cost of Living crisis will bite hard over the Autumn. Good to see that the Community in Derby is still looking out for each other unlike the Fat Cats at Shell and their ilk who are a disgrace to the Human Race.

A 6 month loan would mean adjusting our playing budget too.
A season long loan means we can get 4 or 5 players in. A half season loan would mean only getting 2 or 3 players in.
It would also be a pretty poor deal for the loaning club. He probably won't be match fit until September. With the impact of the World Cup too, he'd only be fully fit for 15-18 games.

I felt proud to be there today. It wasn’t about the players on the pitch that have been at the club for five minutes.
it was about the fans that ARE the club and whose ancestors have been there since the beginning.
    Great start.

Something we’re going to have to be very alive to and take an adaptable approach against in this division.

    Similar thoughts here...
Shopping with the missus, grab a Birds cob and egg custard for lunch, leave home at 14:05 for a steady walk up by the cattle market all on my own (or might go on bike if this drizzle stops), take my single seat all on my own, maybe grab a coffee at some stage (I favour 14:57, as I walk through, as queues are at a minimum!).

I must admit I am very nervous, I have no idea what to expect from league one as I don’t think you can just throw a bunch of experienced players at it. I hope come 5pm my anxieties are gone

Tbh im not really talking specifically about tonight. Playing out from the back is something weve done since cocu. Iv lost count of the number of times weve gift wrapped chances and goals to the opposition over the last few seasons
i understand why we try and do it, but for me curtis davies and the rest of defenders strengths lie elsewhere and always have done.
im not saying just hoon it but theres playing out and there near suicide football.
we have a focal point to hit in collins i hope we use that tbh

The Reading side that won the Championship with 106 points lost their last pre-season friendly 2-1 against non-league Dorchester Town.
They also lost to Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at home, and Farnborough Town 2-1 away during pre-season.
Oh and they also lost their first game of the season 2-1 at home to Plymouth.
    Pre-season means nothing.

    Great post, totally agree
I wont lie i was hoping that LR might move away from this pratting about at the back game thats deemed risk to reward
derby more often than not run a high risk with it and im not sure a season of “up for it” teams and dodgy pitches is going to allow us to get the reward too often

Pre season friendlies, what a dilemma.
Pro clubs losing to non league clubs has always happened but 15 to 20 years ago nobody knew it had happened or if they did they didn't know the circumstances because nobody was there to report on it.
The advent of 24 hour sports coverage coupled with football clubs seeing an opportunity to monetise pre season, means that the genie is out of the bottle it is open to us fans, and we are unable to deal with the information we are given.
The manager and the players will be disappointed with the performance but they won't be making too many judgments about the season.
The only match that matters is Oxford, that was the case at the beginning of July and it is still the case, the rest is just window dressing

Can't be having that, these players are professionals with a core fitness with ever ache and pain and nutritional requirement taken care off. The other team will be up at six to go to work.

NottsRam77 reacted to Cumbrian in Match Thread: Rams vs Leicester (Pride Park, today 1pm)
They did. Leicester had a lot of injuries too, their first choice back four were all injured for long periods, so the likes of Thomas, Soyuncu and Amartey played a lot last season. But their first choice back four is Ricardo, Evans, Fofana and Justin. Vardy was rested regularly, and had injuries, so Daka and Iheanacho played a lot.
The team that played at Derby today are all experienced Prem players (and most of them play for their national team), apart from the goalkeeper, and would probably get into most lower half Prem teams.
