Is it more about the whole structure of the footballing side?
Are they looking at a DOF, which may mean Liam would be Head Coach rather than manager.
If making it permanent Liam would won't to be sure what the role is.

My gut feeling was that Kirchner and co had made promises to Rooney (in terms of spending, signings etc) that Clowes was unwilling/unable to match, so he left.  My other gut feeling is that Kirchner would have been unable to keep those promises, so Rooney would probably have gone anyway.

I think part of the trust issue was the other players, particularly some of the older ones, didn't trust him to keep the ball. Watching games when we were playing out from the back players like Phil Jagielka seemed very reluctant to pass to Louie when he had his back to goal.
In the attacking half facing the goal he's very good, just needs to be stronger back to goal.
I think not not getting the ball when he felt he should and losing it when he shouldn't was often the source of his frustration which got him booked.
Played in the right system, where he gets the ball to feet facing the goal, he'll do very well.

Yes but are we REALLY?! Because signing all these players on top of the 6 experienced pros and kids from the academy seems like maybe Mel Morris is wearing a David Clowes mask and continuing his reckless behaviour and therefore we must be spending way above our means as there’s no other possible explanation for these players joining the club.

We're under a transfer embargo which means we can't sign anyone without EFL approval. EFL will see the contract and know exactly what our budget is and will likely of set a wage  limit as per Wigan and Bolton.
Clowes will of provided proof that he can cover the budget.
So, the signings are within a budget we can afford. Apart from its the only thing you seem to post  so obviously keeps you occupied, I don't see why you keep asking the same question when we give you the same answer.

Give it a rest. We can't offer stupid wages or long contracts. You know this. 
It will be because he is local and doesn't want to move. Especially to a sh*t hole in the arse end of nowhere.  And the fact he is guaranteed playing time. 

I know that most of us aware of this, but can I just remind people that we are operating under a business plan with restrictions on wages. These restrictions are designed to ensure affordability.
Therefore if (and its a big if) Tom re-signs with us it will be on wages that are affordable for us. Plus, most likely, less than he may achieve elsewhere.
That would pretty much be the antithesis of what Buchanan has done in terms of loyalty and I’d be delighted if it did come true.

I really hope so. I have reservations about how easily he can be dispossessed but he is talented and will grow stronger. One thing for sure, he has always looked committed and hungry. 

I'm chilled out, The sale will go ahead, Clowes has the stadium, Left a shedload of cash to get by on and we're waiting for paperwork to be signed...no big deal.
I'll wager Q and Clowes are as frustrated as most on here, Well this is what happens when the last owner left a little mess at PP, The mess is going through the legal people who'll sort it in good time...when...I've not a clue, But it'll be sorted.
