The achievement of promotion is fantastic, but expected with such a big club.
The style of football was not fantastic..however the attitude of the players was!
Can't wait for next season, just hope we play some good stuff....and sign a championship level goalscorer!

It was more than a small number. Thinking a manager’s time is up isn’t always expressed with “get this clown out the club now”. Sometimes it’s “it’s just not working and Clowes should make the call”.
    Thank god we were wrong.

I realise he's not the most popular, especially on here it seems, but that was as heartfelt as it gets. He's a fan too.
    Bravo, Ed.

Nice bloke clearly. Great interview. Excellent achievement gaining promotion. He clearly deserves the opportunity to take us forward next season. But his football approach still leaves me cold. I wasn’t aware but the Sky Comms said today that the players get a day off for scoring at a set piece. Sounds like a nice bit of man management, but it reinforces my belief that he is too focussed on set piece success and having fit scrappers prepared to win their share of second balls, than having a team that might play some decent football. Don’t give them days off - try getting them to pass to each other in tight situations. As I posted on the matchday thread, we looked very ordinary today. I actually said woeful at HT, but fortunately we did raise it a little second half.
Delighted of course to be back in the Champ, and really pleased for Clowes.

Fair play to Carlisle brought 2000 and bottom of league but try and play football and have a good manager in our Simmo

Against a pretty poor team, we are looking pretty woeful. We are clearly going up, but there is much work to do. Seen nothing to suggest I would want Warne managing us in the Championship.

Some fun sponges on here today!
I don’t see the fascination personally with laps of honour, they’re pretty boring. Show your support and appreciation during the 90 minutes. But, on occasions like tomorrow, if promotion is secured then it would be nice. Therefore I’m sure we will have both. A pitch invasion of pure relief and ecstasy, it’s been a rough 2 years. Emotions will be high so you can’t begrudge fans going on the pitch. Then clear off for the lap of honour. It happened v Palace and can happen again. Stop worrying about it and enjoy the day!

Perhaps the solution is for the club to announce should we win or draw Adams will sign a new contract, pre-contract or whatever after the final whistle as long as fans stay off pitch

Right, obviously not everyone will be happy with whatever happens so here’s a compromise. Assuming we get whatever is needed to get us promoted, at the final  whistle the scoreboard clock is reset, the inevitable pitch invasion starts and you have 5 minutes exactly to get your instagram photos or whatever. Then a siren is sounded and the police dogs are unleashed to sort out anyone left on the pitch. Sorted.

I've just seen the latest post from the club warning us and I've changed my stance. I'll stay in my seat because I'm too much of a goody two shoes to risk a criminal record and certainly don't want a club ban.
If there's 10,000 + on there then I'll venture on but calmly 😄

Another over the top reaction from those who can control the public, Ones persons disorder is another persons party, I think we'll need VAR here to decide.
Are fans going to celebrate if DCFC are promoted...of course they are, Do people celebrate the New Year...of course they do, Is there any dispersal orders on New Years day?...football support has changed over the years, The police attitude to supporters hasn't.
Come Sunday afternoon if someone is attacked in Derby town centre...there'll not be 1 old bill to be seen 🙄

the messaging is just so tin eared. Instead of reminding everyone to have a good time and behave themselves they have a big red map with 'dispersal order' written on it.

Saturday can’t come soon enough. I am driving my wife crazy…
Me: I have something to tell you.
    Wife: What is it?
Me: It’s important. It’s big. It’s life changing.
    Wife: Tell me.
Me: Promise me you won’t be angry or upset.
    Wife: OK. Tell me.
    Me: Are you sure?
    Wife: You’ve lost your job?
    Me: No.
    Wife: You want a divorce?
    Me: No.
Wife: You’ve been having an affair?
    Me: No.
    Wife: Well, what is it?
Me: RAMS ARE GOING UP, OLE OLE! 🎵

Hi Duracell, we have a pair of ideal seats for you, we picked the seats because we're close to friends on the opposite side of the aisle.
We're stair 41, row kk, seats 398,399 immediately next to the aisle in the lower east in line with the edge of the centre circle on the south stand side of the half way line. Row kk is about 4 rows down from the entry stairs and the seats are on the right as you walk down to them.
We could meet you at the bottom of stair 41 in the concourse or you can just let me know your seat numbers.

We won the game .Woke up happy then back to looking over fixtures and the table. This is what it is all about.
Yesterday was probably a dreadful game of football but it didn’t matter; the result was everything and it was a great result made better by other bizarre results elsewhere.
I thought Nelson was magnificent at the back. Wilson was excellent too. Cashin, Smith, Thompson and Eboooooooo also good. We rode our luck though but it doesn’t matter. I thought Collins made a big difference when he came on, holding the ball up and winning free kicks.Washington was ineffective. I don’t particularly rate him when he’s fit, let alone recovering from injury. I also prefer NML out wide.
On to the next one. Still plenty of nervous times ahead I think. Wouldn’t it be nice though.
