James Vaughan

Smells suspiciously like BS, but in the Mirror today:

'Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson will have to double his efforts to land Derby striker Nathan Tyson.

Grayson has only offered half of his wages as part of a season-long loan. Rams' boss Nigel Clough will let Tyson make the move if the terms are right - he wants the cash to tempt James Vaughan to join on loan from Norwich.'

Probably just lazy journalism simply linking us with a player we've had in the past, but hey-ho thought I'd post it anyhow.

Tyson has been playing very well recently and can't see why we would let him go but also wouldn't mind Vaughen here I thought he did alright here but didn't get much playing time. He did well at Crystal Palace and showed he can score goals at this level.

I think Vaughan is a better player than Tyson - so if it's a like for like swap then fair enough but I don't think it will be that straight forward.

Also if you look at Norwich fans comments then you can still see he has been decent for them, without playing much through injury! they're all seemingly shocked about him going out on loan....

As I said if it was a straight swap between him and tyson then it would be ideal - but I don't think it will be that black and white!

Tyson's our player, Vaughan isn't. Vaughan would have to be very good to make it worthwhile. And he isn't.

It's a bit worrying as the Mirror has had a bit of a decent strike rate with us.

Though it will be hilarious to watch fans' reactions to this. He was Nathan Scapegoat last season, everyone wanted him gone, but I have a funny feeling if he goes that it won't be very popular...

I don't like the idea of potentially paying a loan fee for a player who had a previous loan here cut short almost immediately by injury.

93 appearances, 17 goals, 24 years of age...

ಠ_ಠ

...whilst I'd never write someone off before they came here, I don't like the idea of signing him on loan if true.

James vaughan? didn't set the world on fire last time he was here.........

Remember the hissy fit at PP when he got set off against us? Derby Reject!

Compared to Tyson's pre-Derby antics?

Keep Tyson... Decision made... Someone ring Nigel and tell him...
