Clough's all about work rate. Tyson, Robinson, Ball are all grafters. He ain't.

Aye, can see why he didn't seem too fussed about the departures of Hulse, Cywka, Commons and re-signing Bueno, all quality but don't do enough for the team work rate wise. Hard to find the balance but I can't say i'm disappointed with our league showing thus far...

NC has identified something that Maguire does which results in him losing the ball a lot and being inconsistent in his performances.

Maguire refuses to work on/change his game so won't be picked until he does.

Exactly what his Dad would have done, but been called a legend for doing so.

Maybe when Tyson gets himself inevitably injured again and becomes even more apparent that Ball isn't ready he might get a look in. That said, we will probably go for the ex- winger who is by far the laziest player on our books in S.Davies. If Clough does judge players on the running they do then S.davies would be slightly behind Fielding in the rankings!

Clough has said on RD that the reason Maguire got dropped was when he played he gave the ball away a rediculous amount of times.

Not work rate, effort or anything else being used to beat Clough with in order to knock his judgement.

If he is still doing that in training and reserve matches why should Clough give him another go.

Didn't realise he had played that many. To be fair though he is still a young lad and has moved down from Scotland. We have had some consistently poor performers that we have carried for many more games (Roberts, injured Barker, Savage, B, Davies, Doyle, Bywater, Kilbane, Theo at times, Ball is hardly tearing up trees, To be fair- Ward is having more poor than good games at the minute) . Hopefully he will gain confidence and be given a chance which he should be as something needs to change
