Sir Dave Brailsford’s been very successful outside of British Cyling/Team Sky. I don’t mind us seeking knowledgeable and successful people from the non-football arena if it adds value and success to the project overall.

Is Paul Warne looking for decent midfield players under 28 ? Unfortunately reports say that Coventry have paid £5 mill for him. Gives us a bit of an idea what players are costing . Loans aren’t cheap either from Prem clubs . Sure we will be putting a midfield together shortly .

If he's cost anywhere near £5M then, if we were interested at all, the phone call what have gone something like "how much do you want?", answer "£5M", response "thanks but no thanks"...

Osborne is 30 in 6 weeks time and plays wide on the left . We must be looking for players in centre mid who can pass , tackle and score goals . Players who can improve and add value . But he is free 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is correct! He’ll go to whoever offers the longest contract. If we were to offer him a deal it would have to be 2 years at the absolute max!

He is more of a centre mid who can also play left wing back, exactly the sort of versatility we need. 30 isnt that old in football terms nowadays, he will probably have a good 5 seasons left in him.

What about the “Add Value “ bit ? He could be a better player at 35 , after all NML will be 34 by the time his contract ends .

I see him primarily as a centre mid who can also play as a left wing back. He's got plenty of experience in the Premiership and Championship and is levels above what we have at the club. He's turning 30 not 25 so for trying to sign him up is a no brainer. Being a local lad is a added bonus.
