Most teams are going have good runs in a season, but they won't last long, else everyone would always be winning. The teams who end up at the top of the league will have lots of good runs, so possibly have a few good runs during the season. But for everyone else, they will have good runs, followed by bad runs. Also, to get manager of the month, your good run needs to coincide with a calendar month. If you won every home game, but drew every away game, you'd achieve promotion but probably never be the best calendar month performer. Basically, there are no curses, and most teams will naturally drop off after a good month. If you don't, you are one of the best teams in the league. Some have a higher success rate of being awarded it, I'm actually surprised with 3 promotions to his name that he hasn't been given it even more often. I once left the house still in my slippers. It was one of those self-locking yale lock things. I didn't have a key, as folk were due home before I was. There was nobody in when I left. It was a Saturday morning, I was 14... and was off to play rugby for the school team.
