Ellafella
1Wildsmith: 6 No blame for either goal. Only had 2 further moments of involvement - another free-kick which he stopped & scooped and a tame shot late on. 24Nyambe: 7 Airtight, water-tight & fireproof security system. 17Sibley: 6 Late legs fresh formation. 35Nelson: 8 Repelled at will. 6Cashin: 9.5 MotM Winning goal and assisted the equaliser. Rock at the back. 3Forsyth: 8 Goal & hit the bar. Took the game to Oxford & led by example. 5Bradley: 6.5 Late entry for sentry duty. Got the job done. 2Wilson: 7.5 Constant outlet & source of attack. 23Ward: 6.5 Late angle-poised delivery. 8Bird: 8.0 CPU. Tackle, Win the ball, Pass & repeat. Unlucky not to score. 4Hourihane: 7.5 Perpetual deliveries into the corridor of uncertainty. Slowly turned the screw on a depleted & gassed out opposition. 7Barkhuizen: 7 Lots of endeavour & swift raiding. 16Thompson: 7.5 Stooped to conquer. 11Méndez-Laing: 8 Consecutive series of jabs & outballs to the Oxford rear. 9Collins: 6 Didn’t happen. 19John-Jules: Guile & swift raiding; almost a goal. Hope he stays as there’s more to come. Nothing gives me greater football pleasure than to see my team out-football a rival whose sole tactic is to feign free kicks & penalties alongside a referee in complicit s***-housery. Fully deserved Derby, you made me feel proud in how you stood up for the beautiful game and suffocated a poor opponent into exhaustion. Comrade 86
Wildsmith: 6.5 Rush of blood for the penalty perhaps? Bar that, could have played in his slippers. Nyambe: 8.0 Typically unflappable, he's too good for this league. Sibley: 6.5 Late appearance in lesser favoured slot, played his part. Nelson: 8.0 Another commanding performance. Makes everything look so easy! Cashin: 9.0 Not a lot this kid can't do is there really? Tango maybe? Bet he's s*** at ballroom dancing. MOTM (again) and worth more than £3 million IMO. Forsyth: 8.0 Was always going to score today, you could just see he wasn't having it at 2-0. Actually unlucky not to finish with a brace. I'll probably cry when Fozzy retires. Bradley: 7.0 Solid enough on limited evidence. Confidence remains a worry, but Warne keeping him in and around games may yet pay dividends. I still think he might show himself a far better player than we've seen. Wilson: 8.0 Always available, always willing, the lad's a nightmare for oppo FBs. They can't even get close enough to kick him. Ward: 6.5 Got a cross on him and looked assured enough in the time he was given. Bird: 8.0 Birdy must be loving life - runners everywhere, a solid midfield to attack from and getting a few chances himself too. Another classy outing. Hourihane: 8.0 Much criticised on here and has been incredibly inconsistent, but seems to be finding fitness and top form. Another strong showing from the skipper. Barkhuizen: 7.0 Better from Barks, but he's yet to really hit his straps this season. Was good yesterday though and ran hard. Thompson: 7.5 Love him, proper little terrier and typical of him that he got on the end of a cross despite being a foot shorter than everyone else in the box. Méndez-Laing: 7.5 Threatening again without being absolutely at his peak. I'd start him again against Posh then give him a week off. Collins: 6.5 Tough day for Collo but he did bravely get his nut on the cross setting up Fozzy for our opener. John-Jules: 7.5 I've read a few posts on here writing the lad off - can't fathom that. Looks like he could prove a class above to me and it'll be interesting to see what happens next with him. Warne Watch: Got everything right. The transformation in the side this last month or two has been marked and results like this give credence to the argument that this is not a flash in the pan and that we are winning on merit. It's good to see Clowes' patience rewarded, long may it continue. DerbyAleMan and Ellafella

The penalty award was correct, but Oxford were allowed to take a quick throw-in at least 10 yards ahead of where the ball went out, so play should have been brought back well before Wildsmith's brainfart. Brannigan dived, Wilson didn't make any contact with him, so that certainly wasn't a fk even if Wilson ran an unwise line. You can see Brannigan's legs "fold" before anyone gets near him. angieram, Ellafella and Ramarena
Crewton
1Wildsmith. 5. Dumb penalty, but he'll get over it. 24Nyambe. 8. Awesome 17Sibley. 6.5. Got involved after coming on 35Nelson. 8. Rock solid, as per 6Cashin. 9. Words fail me. Please stay, legendary status is assured. 3Forsyth. 9. Lifted the team when they were floundering a little. Key goal. 5Bradley. 6. Pretty solid under late pressure. 2Wilson. 7.5. Never gave their LHS a moments peace. 23Ward. 6.5. Kept the pressure on with intelligent use of the ball. 8Bird. 7. Struggled first half, v good 2nd half. 4Hourihane. 7 See Bird. Crosses eventually found their targets 7Barkhuizen. 6. Not at his best, but improved after HT 16Thompson. 7 What an impact. Welcome back. 11Méndez-Laing. 7. Not his best game, but still an enormous threat and grew into the game like many. 9Collins. 6. Struggled under poor service, but never stopped working. 19John-Jules. 7 Good impact again. Hope he stays, he's different. Fans, manager and coaches - 10 Ref 4 - poor - too eager to please the home crowd and utterly inconsistent in his application of the laws of the game - did he not get the memo about players who kick the ball away? England Ram
1Wildsmith. 4.5 At fault for both goals. Was a penno from both his reaction and the berating he got from Nelson. The free kick was his side. He set the wall and has to let that do its job and cover the other side. His starting position was poor and therefore late to cover. Love the lad usually and hope he gets over this sharpish. 24Nyambe. 7.5 Solid as always at the back and actually did a bit going forward which is always a nice bonus from him. 17Sibley. 6 Got involved a little after coming on. Not his favoured position and would have swapped him for Barks earlier in the 10 role. 35Nelson. 8. Rock solid. Top centre back. 6Cashin. 9.5. Possibly close to being his best game in a Rams shirt. Solid at the back (after a shaky start like everyone else) and got a goal and an assist. Really hope he stays and signs a multi year extension, or we get 20 million for him! 3Forsyth. 8 solid defensively, although they targeted his pace at the start with balls over the top. He took the game to them and got a worthy goal to set up the come back. 5Bradley. 6. Did OK, but still looks a bit shaky. 2Wilson. 7.5. Constant threat but always had two to best without an overlapping fullback. 23Ward. 6.5. Kept the pressure on with intelligent use of the ball. 8Bird. 7. Looked much better further back but his calmness is overlooked by many. 4Hourihane. 7 would have had a 6 as he was so poor first half but his deliveries that did beat the first man got us a goal from the corner and Cash’s goal so a 7 it is. 7Barkhuizen. 6. Seemed to struggle most of the game. 16Thompson. 7 The energy change and forward play changed significantly when he came on. Massive stature on the pitch to bely his height. 11Méndez-Laing. 7. Was always a threat and constantly double teamed. We need to find a way to help him with an outlet ball to take advantage of that. 9Collins. 5 Ran as usual but his lack of control and general striking ability shows up a lot in a game like that. Shame as he does work hard. 19John-Jules. 7 Good impact again. Hope he extends his contract as offers more and has bags of potential. TV. Will be there v Posh.
