Well that’s just sent my world crashing down, my mother’s 90 birthday party is on the 20th.

Kinda inconsiderate, did she not think to check the play off dates before organising her birthday party?

I mean it’s May, everyone knows to keep May free.

Have you thought about getting a new mother?

Have you thought about asking her to move it to the 21st instead?

Why not send your wife to go instead and take pictures for you?

Just tell her you’re ill?

Pretend you’re in hospital?

Broke a leg?

Wouldn’t miss the party, wouldn’t want to miss the party, all the family will be there, but it will potentially be my first away game miss for about 5 years.( apart from the Covid season).

It will have to be radio Derby in an earpiece discreetly in one ear like I did at my daughters wedding a few years back when we played Yeovil away.😂

Right, then that leaves just the one option.

You have to tell her to move the party to another date. No other choice.

Not going to happen. Venue booked, catering booked, people travelling from far and wide, and Grimsby.😂

I will have to hand this one over to the experts in organising others lives as this one has me stumped now.

My only other option is to get the EFL to move the date of the match. Or maybe we won’t make the playoffs 😨

Will there be "Big Screen entertainment" at the venue, perhaps in another room?

... Or is this a posh do?  😉🤣

Keep the same date but move the venue to the playoff and tell the guests the match is the Birthday entertainment, it will be just fine....Honest
