We've booked a little pod/studio thing as a base in Weymouth. £170 for 3 nights. https://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/higher-moor-farm.en-gb.html I will be holding you all responsible. You're staying in a place called Nottinton?! If you get over as far as Lyme Regis and like old things then the Charmouth Heritage Centre do guided fossil hunting walks: https://charmouth.org/chcc/
Day
So, I’m laid here in bed down South in Weymouth where it hasn’t stopped raining since last night. Proper grim. I’m not convinced it’s better than the North. It’s alright, but not really worth the trek down here. Too many Londoners around with that silly accent they have. You have to walk too far in between chippy’s. The beach is half pebbles. Traffic is a nightmare. Already seen the first set of Christmas lights up in someone’s flat, in OCTOBER! Proper wrong’uns. Chesil beach is alright to be fair and you can get some cracking views from Portland. There has to be a great business opportunity for a proper pub next to the tourist information centre. All those fruitcakes flying about with parachutes must want a beer and food after? Overall, 7/10 Mucker1884, angieram and ariotofmyown
Day
Oh, when we can be arsed to get up, off to Durdle Door today and then into Bournemouth. Sun is meant to be out later.
Mucker1884
Well, that is so spooky! When we were last down that way (Sept 21), we must have stood in the exact same place, as our holiday snaps are almost identical. See...

angieram
Did anyone add the temperature to the list of reasons to go down south? Walking along the beach in a vest top wouldn’t be a pleasant experience in Cleethorpes today, @David! Crewton
