TigerTedd
Interesting that the 3 latest dates have come in the last 4 years. Could that be a trend that says there is, more often than not, a really crap club in the premier league these days. If that trend continues, the date could get later and later until there’s half a chance that someone breaks the record. or it could just be a covid thing. Burnley probably would have beaten it before Christmas if they didn’t have so many covid delays.

It is also worth considering it has never fallen later than the 29th March date when our own relegation was confirmed and despite the Covid affected 2021 season never even in the same month as we were relegated. TBF, for us, 29th March also coincided with the last point we got that season (home to Fulham) and only the third time that season we scored more than one goal in a game. Half a chance is way too optimistic in my opinion. Edited January 24, 2022 by BaaLocks TigerTedd
BaaLocks
On 25/10/2021 at 08:22, BaaLocks said: As a friend said to me over the weekend "Norwich are going to take your record this year" I wanted to suggest the initiation of St Claude's Day, the date on which no club can undertake (or equal) our points tally of eleven points. Named in honour of a player more symbolic of our lack of preparedness, ability, and commitment than any other (a statement of recognition in itself) in that 07/08 season the race is now on to predict on what day it will fall this season. In previous years St Claude's Day has fallen on the following weekends, last season's Covid affected schedule aside it has only three times made it past New Years Day. 2020/21: 4th March (Sheffield United) 2019/20: 22nd December (Watford) 2018/19: 27th February (Huddersfield) 2017/18: 13th December (Swansea) 2016/17: 19th December (Sunderland) 2015/16: 18th January (Aston Villa) 2014/15: 29th December (Leicester) 2013/14: 26th December (Sunderland) 2012/13: 2nd January (QPR) 2011/12: 31st December (Blackburn) 2010/11: 27th November (Wolves and West Ham) 2009/10: 19th December (Portsmouth) 2008/9: 8th November (Spurs) So, on what day will St Claude's Day fall on this year? I predict it will be the fourth time it has made it past New Years Day but I still think last week in February our record will be safe for one more season. This weekend marks the earliest date that St Clods Day has ever fallen on. Even if the Blunts get maximum points from their next four games they can't get there till 2nd Dec. Still got four months to beat their own record of the latest date it has ever fallen in 2021. TigerTedd

It should be called 'Eddie Lewis Day'. That's the signing that summed up that season, summed up Billy Davies and the point where we knew we were screwed. BaaLocks
2023/24: Sheff Utd currently on 9 points, Burnley on 11 points so technically could still equal it 2022/23: 26th December (Wolves) 2021/22: 23rd January (Burnley) 2020/21: 4th March (Sheffield United) 2019/20: 22nd December (Watford) 2018/19: 27th February (Huddersfield) 2017/18: 13th December (Swansea) 2016/17: 19th December (Sunderland) 2015/16: 18th January (Aston Villa) 2014/15: 29th December (Leicester) 2013/14: 26th December (Sunderland) 2012/13: 2nd January (QPR) 2011/12: 31st December (Blackburn) 2010/11: 27th November (Wolves and West Ham) 2009/10: 19th December (Portsmouth) 2008/9: 8th November (Spurs)

BaaLocks
2023/24: 10th February (Sheffield Utd) 2022/23: 26th December (Wolves) 2021/22: 23rd January (Burnley) 2020/21: 4th March (Sheffield United) 2019/20: 22nd December (Watford) 2018/19: 27th February (Huddersfield) 2017/18: 13th December (Swansea) 2016/17: 19th December (Sunderland) 2015/16: 18th January (Aston Villa) 2014/15: 29th December (Leicester) 2013/14: 26th December (Sunderland) 2012/13: 2nd January (QPR) 2011/12: 31st December (Blackburn) 2010/11: 27th November (Wolves and West Ham) 2009/10: 19th December (Portsmouth) 2008/9: 8th November (Spurs) The Blunts now are the third club (after Sunderland and Wolves) to achieve the feat twice. This is the third closest any team has come after, strangely, Sheffield United in 2021 and Huddersfield in 2019. To put it into perspective, Sheffield United still passed eleven points a full 48 days before 29th March, which is the date we were relegated in 2008. This record is going nowhere..... I don’t think it’ll ever really count if it comes by way of points deduction. Although if Forest end up in 10pts following a points deduction, I’ll take it.
