Cam the Ram Posted August 19, 2020 Share Posted August 19, 2020 Decent first pre-season game, especially with how many young lads we gave time to. 13 of the 24 players used were under the age of 21 and a few of the others aren't much older. First half went as you'd expect with the team put out, the defence was decent playing out from the back but with no actual centre back starting Peterborough caused us a few problems. We looked decent going forward with Sibley the stand out, but Bennett would often disrupt the attack with his atrocious passing. Marriott missed a chance he probably should have scored but looked much better than he did the last time we saw him play. Second half started really well and we looked really dangerous going forward. Jozefzoon linked up well with the young attackers and Ebosele was a big threat when he pushed up. Big Mike and Davies didn't really have much to do but one thing of note was that Mike was yelling instructions to everyone (Davies) included, which was good to see during his first game. I really enjoyed Knight's performance - playing in the middle of the park for a change. Breaking up play. Driving runs from deep. Roos - U23s Bogle - U18s Buchanan - Academy Bird - Academy Sibley - Academy Whittaker - Academy Bennett - Academy Ravas - U23s Ebosele - U18s Lowe - Academy JBrown - Academy Knight - U18s Shonibare - U23s Ibrahim - U18s Trialist - U23s Solomon - Academy Borkovic - U18s Evans, Fozzy, Shinnie, Marriott, te Wierik, Davies and Jozefzoon the others.
