I suppose it's a bit selfish but I'd love us to have fielded a full-strength side. It really would be something to progress even further in this tournament though in fairness, to achieve what the lads already have is nothing short of spectacular.

You could make the argument that seeing academy graduates appearing for the first team against Man United on the tele would make young players want to come here too.

Just a quick analysis on our opponents today.

Beat previous winners Porto 2-1 in the last round.

In the group stages they lost against Liverpool twice, beat Genk once and drew, and destroyed Napoli 7-2 and 1-5.

I reckon this will be a lot harder than Dortmund.

I know you're riffing on a typo but Napoli got beasted by everyone ?

They drew 1-1 with Porto, won on penalties.

That tells it's own story, you have to be good to drop Porto. If my memory serves me right, Porto won it last year? Also, Porto are very good at bringing someone else's youngsters through...
