Had the vaccine last night. All very well organised. It didn't hurt.

I feel well today with no side effects. My arm feels slightly sore, but nothing to speak of.

If you get offered it, please take it.

Keep you and others safe.

No jab, no job

Massively against this idea - as is the PM according to the final paragraph of the article;

The prime minister's official spokesman has said: "Taking a vaccine is not mandatory and it would be discriminatory to force somebody to take one."

Against this too.

The only thing i would potentally do maybe is for travel, where it is a requirement to have a test prior to travelling, if you have had the vaccine this 'could' negate the need for the test.

Wow that’s a tough one isn’t it. I’m all for everyone getting their vaccinations and as soon as possible. However to say you can’t work, travel or socialise in hospitality venues is a bit to far isn’t it?
I’m not sure actually, If it means everyone has it, all this is ended and we go back to normal then I’d see it as a good thing. On the other hand enforcing just seems a little wrong.
Tough decisions for our leaders to make going forward.

Overseas travel I agree with... it is already the case in many countries around the world for other viruses but it does leave a lot of issues - would Germany accept a 75 year old taking the Az vaccine when its not authorised in their country for instance?

Within our own country - I think that whilst personally I like it, the moral/ethical side would be against it. Would I feel safer being in a restaurant, a theatre or a bar knowing everyone in that bar has taken a vaccine - absolutely. However, given that I'm (quite rightly) at the bottom of the queue for a vaccine, is it even legal to discriminate against me if I've not had the chance to take a vaccine. No - so I think in a court of law the Government would just lose this battle anyway.

Then in the future - what evidence would you accept from overseas tourist who may go to the theatre in London - would other countries provide these people with a vaccine card/certificate and so on. Of course - this may be a rule to even enter our country in the first place....

Think we should just focus our efforts on getting as many vaccinated as possible and encouraging the anti-vaxxers to stop being stupid.

Agree with all that, im down your end of the queue for the jab as well so would be extremely annoyed if they brought something in let’s say in Spring/early summer.
But if it meant everyone having it and no risk of this thing causing disruption again, then I’d back anything that would lead to that.
As people have said already I doubt it’s legal anyhow. Let’s just hope the majority just have it done and we can crack on as before.

I would think its upto individual businesses. Saga have already made it mandatory to have the vaccine so it must be legal.

I had mine at 7.30pm which I would recommend to everyone if you get the choice. Have it between 6 and 10 then go to bed with 2 paracetamol and wake up fine.

Wow!

An absolutely horrific idea.

What next? Maybe we could stop people having jobs based on their weight, sex or skin colour?

Whilst not legal, that policy does already apply in a great many white collar sectors.
