Holmes reads Reading's training ground corner and runs away with it. Gets an arm across his chest and falls to his knees; ref tells him to get up.

It was a penalty and it had to be a sending off.

I honestly have no clue how you can look at it another way.

it was soft and it wouldn't have even be a yellow in open play, but that's academic.

Triple jeopardy fella, he’s gone to win the ball and it’s clumsy. Not a red

All true but supposedly experienced player miles out of position then pushes over player when our keeper is favourite for the ball

now that’s not cocu’s fault

But Cocu selected him over Malone !

That is Cocu’s fault unless you’re saying he doesn’t select the starting line up ?

Yes it is. That is how Malone plays as a defender. Where you surprised by Malone's attempt - why didn't he leave him, Hamer might have got the ball - I wasn't!

To be fair to myself I have always said Malone is a very poor defender - he always has been at 10 clubs but he is still classed as an experienced player and personally I would sell him if we could get anywhere near what we paid for him  - my point was that Malone proves himself to be useless and not Cocu’s direct fault
