Well done to the club for putting it on,good cause.

Reminds me of the Porridge movie when the team of celebrities arrive to play HMP Slade.

”I don’t recognise any of them”!

"We got a weather man from Anglia TV. He said it was going to rain!"

Stefano Eranio, Seth Johnson and Robin van der Laan are amongst the list of former Derby County stars that have been confirmed to play in the Sellebrity Soccer match on Sunday 7th October.

Nine ex-Rams players have been confirmed for the star-studded match at Pride Park Stadium in support of the Derby County Community Trust.

Eranio needs little introduction to Pride Park, having scored the club’s first ever goal there in 1997. The Italian, who is now the youth coach at AC Milan, will return to play at the stadium for the first time since 2001.

He will once again share the pitch with Johnson and van der Laan who became fan favourites during their time at Derby.

The confirmed former Derby County stars are*:

Darren Bent

Stefano Eranio

Stevie Howard

Seth Johnson

Dean Leacock

Robin van der Laan

Malcolm Christie

Deon Burton

Paul Peschisolido

Stephen Graham, very good actor.

Combo - bloody terrifying...... (not Compo - who was rather less sinister in Last Of The Summer Wine)

Absolutely hate celebrity soccer, wish the celebs would just give the money to charity and save us all the pain of it.

What pain is that since it's obvious you won't be going? Those that want to or are able to will go, probably enjoy themselves and also be making their contribution to charity.

His acting throughout This is England is incredible. The bit towards the end when he is playing 5 aside is so emotional. Won't give anything else away.

If you've got the DVD of '90, amongst the extras, there are loads of unused scenes of his time in prison - Paddy Considine also features. Really good stuff. Might be on Youtube.

Well don't go.

Not sure who is more of a grinch to be honest. Surely the idea is to support the event, ergo you support the charity.

How about you donate and give your ticket away.
