Richard246
If Frank wants to play on the front foot which is great can we really play Mount, Lawrence, Wilson all in the same team or can we. Do we need a slight change in Midfield? Yesterday Leeds played 4-1- 4-1 with lots of attacking players you could argue more attacking than Derby. What was the difference they knew how to defend the defensive midfielder knew his job the next four worked his socks off and the lone forward kept our 2 central defenders busy all match? I believe if we played the same system we would be able to defend a lot better and be better going forward without leaving yourself wide open. Possible Team. RiddingsRam
I don't think after 2 games it's the time to start ripping up the blueprint and starting over , Frank's said from the start he's not set in one system or formation and elaborated this at the forum on Thursday. Marcelo Bielsa has had the best part of 30 years or so to working his formation , style and philosophy. He's a very clever man that many seemed to underestimate when he came to Leeds and half the Leeds fans had never heard of him. The guys a genius and a real cue for Leeds. Stripperg-ram
Is be interested in us trying a 3-5-2, mainly because it would suit our players. our defense on the whole is good (Keogh aside maybe) but Davies Wisdom and maybe Tomori would be solid. we have enough midfielders to choose a 5 and maybe Waghorn and mount or Lawrence up front? could work. cannable
It doesn’t need a change in formation, the system needs tweaking. Tell the wingers to stay wide until the ball’s in the opposition half, tell the #8s to play in the channels and we HAVE to play a defined #6. If we want midfield flexibility then try and emulate Fulham, in which McDonald would push forward with Cairney and Johanssen dropping deep, temporarily making it a 4213. Alph
Whatever system you play it's not going to stop Lawrence and Wilson from thinking they are Ronaldo and Messi. It won't stop them either running into trouble or delaying a pass so long that Waghorn has retired. Is it really about systems when you're asking players to get forward and the minute they do the ball gets handed to the opposition? I don't think Lawrence and Wilson are crap. I just think they're selfish and boring. Two players described as get you on the edge of your seat? For what? The 5 seconds of brilliance in 95 minutes? I find the 94mins and 55 seconds of dodging tackles, ignoring teammates and brushing their hair quite tedious to be honest. Not team players so whatever system you play they'll do what they want anyway.

Malone is more suited to wingback than left back. My Cardiff mate says good crosser and sweet left foot. Wisdom played some of his best at the backend of last season with this system.
