Rev
Thinking of having a very short weekend in Derby soon, where is good to eat City centre wise? Don't want anything flash, but then again not Cosmo either, around the cathedral quarter would be good. Any recommendations?

Sith Happens
Spice lounge is nice for a curry, le bistro Pierre is nice for a cheapish nice meal too.

CWC1983
Cuccina or The European for Italian, Exeter Arms or Brewery Tap or Greyhound for some pub grub and good pints. Viceroy for a curry
Mafiabob
Blacksmiths loft for high end..... Hide Burger Bar for decent burger Spice Lounge for a Ruby Sarrys for a Special box at about 2:30AM
JoetheRam
Iberico or Lorentes for Spanish food is good but as with all Tapas can get a little pricey. Echo the votes for Bistrot Pierre and Cucina. The European if there's just a couple of you. Himalayan Gurkha for a curry. Hide does the best burgers.
RiddingsRam
Just out of town but if we go out to eat (which is very rarely) we got to antibos . Just across from the train station .
King Kevin
Another vote for the European [see I'm not biased I voted out] Viceroy or Shalamar for a curry Pepitos for a Mexican is one of my favourites the last three all close to the station.
i-Ram
Is the 'European' not Antibo? I don't get up very often now but l have been going there for 15 plus years, probably more, and always had a pretty good meal. One time l fortuitously had a booking where l sat next to the team at an end of season bash. I sat next to Adam Bolder. Nice bloke. I would have taken his Mrs home with me, but I had to settle for a bit of pizza in a box.

sage
Exeter (book) and the Silk Mill do really good pub food. All the curry houses near the station are good. Mogal, shalimar, viceroy and anoki. Some good early bird deals. If you really want to treat her then McTurks.

Stive Pesley
For Italian in the Cathedral Quarter you have to go to Dolce Salato http://m.derbycathedralquarter.co.uk/Dolce-SalatoCafeItaliano It's tiny and you have to book in advance to be sure of a table but the food is amazing, not stupidly expensive and the owner is a top bloke
