Animal is a Ram
As someone with next to no betting knowledge (just picking names at the Grand National is the height of my wisdom), why is it Tom Ince to score over 12.5?Is it because scoring over 12 is ambiguous, if he finishes exactly on 12? ossieram
Other fans are having a proper moan about this, Saying that it should go to a club like Coventry! That's right let's ban all well run clubs from being given the chance to win a few more bob.
ramsbottom
And for all you who love a good bet, Sky have now added a bunch of Derby specials after we won the 250k Over 0.5 goals in every match looks decent with our front line and (hopefully less) nervy defence 16/1 Derby to score in every match this season 100/1 You never know! Ince, Bent and Martin to all score 10+ 7/1 Easy money Martin and Bent to both score 20+ 33/1 And of course, Derby to be promoted and Forest to be relegated at 28/1 Ince to score more than 12.5 goals is worth a tenner. As for winning this £250k, not to sound ungrateful but couldn't we just give it to Newport??? That could get them half a promotion challenging team... ram59
I agree that it should be restricted to clubs with a smaller turnover, but it will help us regarding meeting the FFP regulations.
MuespachRam
Why should we give it away...??? I cant remember anyone helping us when we were almost bust in the 80's or when big fat Bob decided to take his pound of flesh or when the three amigos were ripping us off....Screw them all.... needles
Delighted. Don't get all this "should have gone to someone else". Forest spent 7 or 8 mill last summer and they won it. Don't recall anyone moaning then.

Day
Not our fault for being a properly run club and having loyal fans Define loyal fans because it wasn't long ago we was taking under 500 to away games, only since Clough went did the attendances start to rise
Ewe Ram
Don't think £250k would make a difference on the Shackell deal. It's small money. I do hope we get to find out exactly what it's spent on though.

Anon
Don't think £250k would make a difference on the Shackell deal. It's small money. I do hope we get to find out exactly what it's spent on though. It's part of the deal with skybet that we have to declare which player the money went towards. It's basically for their marketing purposes. If we don't spend it on a player in the window we have to return the cash.
Day
Simply compare our support to Boro's.06/07 - 25,945 - Billy Davies boring but winning football07/08 - 33,597 (Premier League)08/09 - 29,440 Jewell sacked at Xmas, enter Mr Nigel Clough09/10 - 29,23010/11 - 26,02311/12 - 26,02012/13 - 23,22813/14 - 24,933 - Clough sacked in September, enter Steve McClaren14/15 - 29,232We're no different to other clubs, get promoted and we'll sell out in the Prem as fans come out the woodwork to see the Premier League stars, we found an extra 8k on average fans who didn't show up for the promotion season, as soon as we were relegated lost 4k instantly. As you can see, each season under Clough the attendances dropped to 23k, thats 10k short of what we had in the Premier League, notice how they increased when the football improved, we was winning games and money was spent and we was looking like a team capable of going up? Some may have more of a drop off than us but it doesn't make us any more loyal than other club fans. Some clubs also have bigger fanbases and when Boro were in the Prem with 30k+ a lot of away teams would have been taking a few thousand where as in the Championship clubs will take a couple hundred on a Tuesday night. We're lucky with our location that away fans can make the trip easily.
