Would be more confident Mascarell could fit in too after seeing that (despite his error). His error was down to the keeper playing a ball to a player running towards him between two opposition players. He was always going to have to stop and turn and one if the players would close him down. The keeper should have played it wide to Keogh or Buxton. Maybe partly but he did let it bounce away from him a couple of yards and suppose we are under instruction not to kick it long, anyhow it worked out in the end. I've been impressed with Mascarell, particularly at the Blackpool game. Got a feeling He will continue to start Eustace mainly at home but I hope he gets a consistent run of games. Will be interesting when Thorne comes back, he won't be happy being third choice behind Eustace if that's what happens. Also thought Coutts sounded pretty good in the CDM role albeit briefly tonight. Posted October 28, 2014 Share Posted October 28, 2014 the quality of the football in that 20 minute spell was unbelievable - think 19 passes for one of the goals - both Dawkins goals were top class - Martin, Russell and Hendrick all absolutely thumping in their finishes - the strength of our squad is the difference between this year and last year. Fulham had obviously been told to stop us playing outfrom the back, second half was a different game thou, Dawkins and Russell stood outand everyone suddenly seemed to get their act together.The last couple of games looked as if we had lost our way, but we seem to be back ontrack now.Would love to know what SMs actual words were at halftime.Coutts didn't put a foot wrong either!
