eddie
Not many operators and not that many cameras as you can have them running on wires and placed in all sorts of places and remotely operated, you could also design them to track the ball. The tech is out there. And it's incredibly expensive and specialised too - so expensive that the use of it at Rugby is restricted to just the televised games because they've only got one lot. Same with full-blown Hawkeye at cricket (the goal-line technology recently introduced to Premier League games is far simpler). Nice idea, but it's just not going to happen. True at the moment, costs will go down eventually. Or they have an extra ref
eddie
True at the moment, costs will go down eventually. Or they have an extra ref They have an extra 2 in Europa League games now - fat lot of use they are though. It's just two guys getting a great view of the game. ChaddesdenRam
Just proves how valuable Martin is. Not being able to score against the team with the worst goal difference in the league by 4 goals. The Chris Martin haters must realise no matter how frustrating he can be, he is the centre to so much of our play buying us territory up the pitch with his "diving" cheap fouls and also an outlet in an attacking sense. Guest
Martin's our biggest focal point. Cant believe people get on his back. All proved today though.
Day
We're not a one man team, today proved nothing other than decent teams have off days. I like Martin don't get me wrong but we have more than enough to beat Millwall without Martin, we didn't now on the next.

Uptherams
Sammon does not offer much does he. When he was coming off the bench with 30/20/10 minutes to go he looked full of energy. It was all an illusion. The reality was that he was coming on against tired players knowing he only has a small amount of time to run around so he has no need to conserve the energy. Martin even puts himself about more than him. He needs to go.
Grimbeard
There's a difference between diving and going down easily. Not really. One involves contact, one does not. Both cheating. No… Go on then, explain to me why seeking to gain an advantage by going to ground at the slightest touch isn't cheating.
cannable
Go on then, explain to me why seeking to gain an advantage by going to ground at the slightest touch isn't cheating. Highlighting that contact has been made as opposed to feigning contact.
Grimbeard
So you're saying that every time contact is made a foul has been committed?

cannable
So you're saying that every time contact is made a foul has been committed? At the end of the day this discussion will have no right answer. It's down to the interpretation of a referee on any given Saturday. What I would say though is how often is a card shown when a player goes down easily?
