When am I allowed to be anti Clough?

I'm glad it cheered you both up!

Seriously though, it's the same ***** over and over again. I can't see how anyone can doubt he'd be a top manager if he was allowed to bring in who he wanted. It's not like he's ever been unrealistic transfers wise, can you honestly say he's had the support he deserves?

You could basically say that about every manager in the football league at a club who hasnt got wealthy owners. I suppose Gary Johnson, Dean Smith or John Still are future England managers as well?

You can quite easily doubt it, based on his average, uninspiring tactics, his negative attitude in key specific situations and the fact he hasnt signed a decent striker in his entire time here. His inability to create an even remotely successful away formula alone, is enough to see he wont be a top manager, there is no excuse for that.

Don't you think I know it EKR? I really enjoyed seeing us two nill up then scraping a draw at hillsborough. I see the the problems, I just hope to god he can sort them out before its too late and am willing to support him until then.

I can see why fans feel anti Clough but what's it gonna do? Are you prepared to give him next season and if not go our seperate ways, like that girl you were with and will always love? No? Am I? I said a number, someone miscounted the number and missed out the players inherited, then someone else tried to mock my statement, even though I was correct!

When I suggested someone couldn't read properly, Cucumber thought I meant him, no, he cant do addition properly, it was someone else, Albert, I was talking to. Just clarifying.

I don't need allies, I'm not that precious. People either agree or disagree, I can take it.

Properly or Correctly?

And most disagree!!!

Anything you say I disagree with because you are my role model now and I want to be just like you...

Apologies.

DCFCfans is experiencing technical difficulties at the moment, due to an overload of playground squabbles about differing opinions.

While our Admin department work tirelessly to ensure normal service is resumed asap, we bring you a short musical interlude.

We do hope you enjoy.

Did NOBODY on this forum of so-called Derby supporters attend any of the fans forums? 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

These are commonly known targets (at some stage) and were bid on by Clough.

If I have to educate everyone here, then it's going to be a boring and unenjoyable forum, surely there are fans here that do more and interact more with the club than simply listen to the match on the radio, attend the odd game and post on t'internet!

In early summer 10/11,Clough said in an interview that he faced the dilemma of having to choose between one decent signing and 2 or 3 lower budget ones, and said he would be talking it over with his backroom staff. Not long afterwards Brayford and Bailey arrived and I can't remember who else landed, but there was nobody significant.I suspect this may explain the BS situation,as it may well have been the case that Clough saw other positions as a priority at the time, rather than it being a case that he didn't think BS was worth the money. At the time RB was a priority and I seem to remember we had 5 or 6 forwards on the books at the time.

This last bit leads me nicely onto Hooper. In a Sky article,Clough clearly said we wouldn't be bidding for Hooper, citing the number of forwards we had and the lack of outward movement of same-Hulse finally went on the last day of the window. In January 12 Glick said BS was out of our range on 2 counts-if this were the case I fail to see how a £2m Hooper would have been any different.

As for the rest of it,I don't take a great deal of notice of what's (reported) to be said at fans' forums. One never knows what ulterior motives those reporting may have, and I seem to remember they were hosted by the man who told us that, shortly after the end of 9/10, £4.1m was repaid off the revolving loan (out of S/T money),thus bringing the debt down from £19.1m to £15m.I dealt with that matter in my analysis of 10/11.

The £150,000 that Clough has just revealed was paid for Ben Davies (now what did the DET report that fee as?) explains the kind of parameters Clough has to work under much of the time.

To get back on topic slighty

I follow Troy on Twitter and I do chuckle at his anti-Clough rants. He's hit the wall where, no matter what, Cloughie will never do right.

I think there are 3 stages of being a Derby fan under Clough

  1. The Honeymoon. He's the "son of god". He will lead us out of the wilderness because of who he is and what great headlines it will make

  2. The Acceptance. He's not got a magic wand, his transfer budget and wage bill is limited and yes occasionally he gets his tactics monumentally wrong, but from time to time he makes some very shrewd signings and we play flashes of excellent football that are ultimately not sustainable enough to get us out of this division

  3. The Breakdown. It's all rubbish and Clough is rubbish, I hate him and I want Jim Smith to come and give me a big cuddle and tell me that it's all going to be OK

A few deluded idiots are 1s. Most of us are 2s I reckon.

I fully expect to be a 3 by the end of next season
