The pre match was flat tbh don’t get me started on the Mason Bennett debacle 😂 hopefully if we are successful and get in the  playoffs and somehow get to Wembley have a real go at it.
tbh if we beat Pompey I’d fully rotate the team at Sheffield Wednesday if didzy gets injured we are ducked

Simmoram2024Ramsrontheup got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Poll: what do you think of it so far? (Warne's tenure)
Mediocre at best! The football is terrible he’s coming across tactically naïve and quite frankly I find his overly jovial demeaner annoying. He comes across like frank did players as mates rather than any hierarchy.

I don’t understand giving managers four year deals as let’s face it in todays game it’s about success.

I can’t tell if Warne is crap , we’ve been found out or the lack of squad depth has caused burn out. But this has been awful for weeks and as predicted I think we won’t finish in the top six. It’s horrendous the change in the team

Simmoram2024Ramsrontheup got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Jason Knight, option to extend his contract
Let’s be realistic he will be gone in the summer. He doesn’t score enough , he’s got incredible work ethic which is sort of his downfall as he’s become a utility player rather than push on in a given position which would have been better for his development. He’s a Republic of Ireland international and out of control so putting all that together I’d say £2m max plus add ons and a sell on percentage. He hasn’t shown himself to be worth anymore he’s not a goal scoring midfielder or a 20+ goal a season striker.
in the worse case scenario we don’t go up realistically our young players value would be like this.

    Cashin 3-4 m maybe 5m
    sibley £750k- £1m tops
    knight £2m +
    Bird £2m +

considering our financial situation and restrictions if we were to sell all four plus each with say 10-20% sell on clauses that’s £10 m there that could go along way in league 1

Simmoram2024Ramsrontheup got a reaction from Red_Dawn in Looks like a Derby version 2- Birmingham city
Hearing some very alarming but all too familiar things about Birmingham City! I know a lot of us have animosity to a certain poor taste anthem adopted by Birmingham and indeed a number of fans and I do remember a ‘few’ in the minority damage PP.
but what this is highlighting is what a complete mess the football pyramid is forest stand to get £90m for going down - what’s the incentive of trying ?

many clubs will go derbys way and May will not come out of it well! We’ve had a good end to the week but all it has shown is a paradox of the statement don’t mend something that doesn’t need fixing - it’s quite ironic our new owner is  in building / Property development as  Prem to EFL to lower leagues need bulldozing and complete restructuring! For me parachute payments and playoffs being scrapped

Simmoram2024Ramsrontheup got a reaction from jimtastic56 in LG 1 appropriate transfer suggestions
    It’s 12,000 max wages
    generate a £8m income
so in theory derby could spend £8m but would have to sell someone for £8m
But realistically sell a player for £1 million could spend £1m still be in the limit

I’ve heard possibly next four signings are Koiki, Forsyth ( wants to get into coaching), Blackman as competition for wildsmith and Kemar Roofe on loan can play wide left or Striker then possibly one more loan from premier league club!

likely departures are sibley or bielik knight wants to stay

Glover was on loan in non league got pace and trickery got something like 6 goals 6 assists only 21 but has a bit of a hot head got lots of yellows and a red. In terms of appearance think a cross between Grealish and Cantwell

Deji - raw pace and I mean pace to put it in context when at united he was the fastest player at the club at all levels - FW but more winger he’s quite gangly think more Wanchope but first touch isn’t great but definitely something we could work with
