    Erm...

    then this

Essentially - Our insolvency policy is uselessly vague and we have no idea how to apply it.
We are a complete waste of space and we have completely destroyed the integrity of the competition through our own incompetence

    Your Sincerely

As with all things some of us are taking the statement as a positive, some a negative, and some Sat on the fence.
For me I think it’s a great reflection on the change in narrative over the last few days. The spotlight is edging closer towards our plight and the role of the EFL around that, the increased noise on social media, in the media, from our fans and fans of other clubs, as well as MPs weighing in has forced the EFL to give their most wordy statement yet on the matter. It doesn’t tell us any solutions, it doesn’t consign us to the history books, it does show they’re rattled and need to defend their stance which is exactly what we want. Stating they have no vendetta and that they’re being fair and neutral (yeah right) should mean they now have to be, they’ve publicly outed themselves and will be rightly called out further for more contradictory behaviour. Keep the faith gang ?

They can try, but tbh this whole debacle, especially the light that’s been shone on it over the weekend and today, I think they pushed themselves past a tipping point towards independent regulation. There’s absolutely no credible argument against it now. Everything bad about self-regulation and the associated pitfalls has been brutally exposed over the past 72 hours.

Hahahaha, I can't believe they actually did a paragraph clarifying they don't have a vendetta against us. Has any league ever had to clarify it isn't openly acting against one of it's members before? It says it all.

Point 12. Does the EFL have a vendetta against Derby County?
Now if you are a ruling body or a person of authority (Police, Judge, border guard etc.) you would think that you dont have to justify that point and should be totally impartial in your judgement and actions
Me thinks all the noise around the current situation  is starting to get to them and they dont like it one bit. Good. Tossers.

    3 observations:
    1. DCFC, MFC, and WWFC have presumably submitted cases to the EFL.  There is a hold up here whilst the EFL is considering those cases which, by their own admission in the statement, is causing a delay in a final bidder moving forwards.  If any party has failed to submit a case, I would hope that is viewed harshly.
    2. Assuming the above is addressed, and I would hope this is viewed as a matter of urgency, Mike Ashley or whoever can be confirmed as the PB.  Provided they provide an initial cash injection (possibly by way of deposit - we don't know how much the club already has) then the transfer embargo would be lifted.  If the PB wished, we could then deal in the window.
    3. If, as a professional body, you have to publish a 10pm statement declaring you have no vendetta against a member, it would strongly suggest there is more than a whiff of a vendetta.  If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then it's a duck.

What a load of tosh, if you have to publicly say you don’t have a vendetta publicly it just shows how bad they’ve treated us

My take away from that statement is their bums have gone. Where was this energy a month ago? Why has a paragraph become an essay?

I think the impending government/national coverage will cause chaos. The language used in that statement tells you everything you need to know.

FYI a 10pm statement reeks of an organisation panicking and running scared - making sure no one can question them without a good night’s sleep.

Here's a thing. Just been on the Sheffield Wednesday board because I was curious as another team that was penalised what they would make of the situation as opposed to some of the 'butter wouldn't melt' brigade that we hear so much from. Some remarkably lucid stuff here that seems to grasp the crux of the issue.. Fair play and I hope you'll forgive me quoting you Owls fans.
"£45million because it was Derbys fault Middlesbrough went on a 6 game losing streak between March and April costing them a play off place? Perhaps if his side actually made an effort to attack Aston Villa in the previous play off campaign, they may have been in the PL that season. What a loser Gibson has become"
"I don't really get how boro have got a claim for that amount tbh. Was it sorted in court or via the EFL? Is it legitimate or is it pube head trying it on cos he doesn't like other teams having parachute payments etc  but was fine when they had em? As far as I know he doesnt make the rules."
"They haven’t been awarded anything. It’s pending legal action."
"They can make almost any claim they want. If it was tested in court, I doubt Middlesbrough would be awarded damages anything like that, even if they won."
"The problem for Derby’s administrators is that they don’t have the time or money to fight it in court."
"Are Bristol City looking at suing as well? They gave up after Derby beat them 2-0 at their place (3rd last game of the season). Had they won or draw that game, they would have probably beaten Hull City that season to get 6th place instead of Middlesbrough. Their goal difference would have been better than Boro's. "
"Isn't Gibbo going after us still because we beat Middlesbrough 1-0 that season at their place? Those dropped points didn't help "
"Why are the EFL insisting Boros claim is dealt with ??   It’s a nonsense claim that hasn’t been through the courts so why do the EFL find it reasonable to hold back a takeover on the basis of Boros ‘claim’ "

Isn't it great how the conversation has changed over the last 72 hours? Thanks to the valiant call-to-arms of some heroic Rams fans the noise generated has been spectacular.
MPs, media doyennes, City of Derby leaders and 40,000 fans have put their shoulders to the wheel and turned the discussion on its head.
Now it's not (all) about how naughty Derby County are; it's about shining a spotlight on what is fair and appropriate.
    Well done to all involved.

Caerphilly Ram reacted to Yani P in Petition to the Sports Minister
Looks like the combination of emails to MPs, Twitter messages etc. are already doing a job. Lots of MPs saying they want urgent meetings with Sports Minister and EFL..great stuff..keeping the pressure up is vital and spreading the message wider is also essential to make things happen. Also a few celebs Tweeting about Derby and seems like at least a part of the mainstream media is picking up the message.
Great stuff by everyone . All Derby fans are after the same outcome...end the vendetta..we have our punishment..let us get on with the football. The Petitions will look great with the thousands of signatures, again the wider the message spreads the more people will sign.
Do we have any agreed hashtags we could use to keep the messages linked and relevant?

I’ve had similar thoughts, collections at the ground would bring something in, setting up something for those of us who live outside of Derby, the county and even the country seems pragmatic. I understand the need for those who can attend matches to keep doing so and spend money once there, for those of us at a further distance it’s not always an option. I’ve bought merch and attended a couple of times this season, my Uncle is a Ram living in America and he ordered a load of merch to be shipped over to him. What about a raffle for a signed shirt? Virtual ticket sales? Sponsor a seat/brick in the wall/blade of grass? if it has to be a commercial transaction bringing money into the club there must be options to do this?!

Caerphilly Ram reacted to Zulu Ram in Ed Dawes comments
Being at the game yesterday It was only about 7pm when I got back and listened to the Radio Derby Spotscene Podcast.  Ed Dawes's heartfelt , almost passionate call for fan action comment, about a need for more consolidated action was something that really hit home and my did he mean it. Its been a long time, maybe 30years since Graham Richards's  "this team is going nowhere" report that a BBC commentators comment had hit me so deep. Despite some of the negatives ED gets occasionally, Ive already emailed My MP (Andrew Bridgen NW Leics) and he's begun tweeting in DCFC support, this needs Parliament to break up this EFL witch hunt and corruption.  well said ED, everybody, do something... but can we please have a post match consolidation report like Graham used to do.
