So many thoughts and emotions at the moment.
I went into Derby to watch the huge, noisy, smoky crowd as they wended their way through the town. Flags galore and a positive, good-natured feel to the occasion. I was excited but dreadfully apprehensive about the final score. The energy from the crowd just had to lift the team and carry them over the line... surely? What could possibly go wrong?🤔
I listened to the match on Radio Derby. Once we had scored 2 goals I started to relax and enjoy the game a bit more.
When our lovely Max Bird went off I felt so proud of him, so sad to see him leave us and worried in case he was about to regret his decision to leave.
It wasn't one of our greatest games but it was bound to be a nervy game. Our opposition had nothing to play for and we had everything. Perhaps the players knew that if we won, their holidays in the sun had begun!
So sad that B4 wasn't with us physically to celebrate this wonderful party but I really hope that he is celebrating somewhere. I loved the 'Be More B4' displays round the ground. It reminded us of what a smashing guy he was.
I loved all the scenes of the players after the match, being carried on shoulders, celebrating with families. Their relief was palpable and so well deserved. Well done to them all for achieving this promotion and well done to every single member of staff connected with the club.
I felt proud of Paul Warne for what he has achieved. He is a nice guy and I like him. Whether or not he can take us all the way, I am grateful for what he has done so far, for his passion for the club and for his care of the players. I felt very happy for him today. He has brought a good ethos to our club which I'm sure was part of David Clowes plan.
After everything we have been through over the last 2 years, the sadness, the uncertainty, the anger, we have achieved promotion and tonight Derby fans will go to bed feeling very drunk, ecstatic, full of positivity for next season or may be apprehensive. I think our club is in good hands and I am so grateful for David Clowes for getting us to this place. He loves this club and I am so grateful and reassured that he will not take any risks with this club which he loves as much as we do.
Sleep well tonight, fellow rams. Like I said, it has been a day of so many emotions, but tonight is joyous and a time for some fizzy!! X

Having slept off lunchtime beer now, and awaiting delivery of a delicious curry, I hope everyone's having a great time.
As much as anything, it feels like this moment turns the page on a very difficult chapter in the club's history. The story now is about going forwards, not recovering from what Mel did as it's been for the last 2 seasons.

I thought the celebrations were terrific - such powerful emotions as I watched from above.
Didn't leave until after the trophy celebrations.
Admittedly I couldn't see a lot of it, but you could just feel the passion - and relief.
Well done, Derby County fans. 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Having scrolled through Instagram this afternoon/evening, seeing the pictures of Dad’s on the pitch with their sons and daughters, players being paraded around on fans shoulders, I don’t know.
They are pictures that won’t just live in digital format on phones, printed off, displayed around the house, memories that will last a lifetime.
The scenes of thousands on the pitch was far from being embarrassing, in fact the club are putting content out tonight of the fans on their social media channels, despite asking to stay off the pitch. Players are also sharing them as well.
Celebrating like that is not for everyone, I know, much like the stands themselves, some will prefer the safety of the West Stand, others the “limbs” of the South Stand.
Just think though, some of those kids, that could be the only time they get a chance to step on to the Pride Park pitch. Something many young kids could only dream of.
It’s a shame fans such as yourself didn’t get the opportunity to applaud a lap of honour as you wanted, think at this time it’s one of those where just be grateful you were there.
Many wouldn’t have been able attend for various reasons, I wasn’t able to even get down the pub as I’ve been throwing up and pissing out my arse since yesterday with what I can only assume to be that Norovirus kids love to share at school.
Having to watch from bed, without a touch of alcohol has been tough!

Thankfully that is just the temporary netting they use for shooting practice in the North stand so Washington doesn't hit Rita in row Z.

The boy did what was right for derby county , very good offer , money came in that allowed us to bring in vital cogs and he stayed on loan , busting a gut to get us up , so fitting he smashed that early goal in nearly busting the net ,,, the boy is a hero on a day for hero’s ,
max bird take a bow , a proper ram always , no matter where he goes on to play

Not sure if this has been covered already but could I also give a shout out to the Carlisle fans who stuck by their side throughout and were magnanimous about our promotion?
Spoke to several of them afterwards and they seemed a good bunch, saying what a great club we were and wishing us all the best.
Hope they bounce back under Simmo.

A day i will treasure for the rest of my life. Train down from Leeds was absolutely teeming with West Yorkshire based Rams, plenty of beers & laughs on board. Then a few beers pre-match in the Alex before heading down to PP via that amazing new mural by the underpass courtesy of Popside Fanatics.
Atmosphere was every bit as electric as I'd expected & brilliant to get that early goal. What a way for Max to sign off his career here. Ok Carlisle played some neat stuff thereafter but was never seriously worried. As soon as we scored our second & we heard Bolton were losing, we knew we were up. Pitch invasion was absolute magic, scenes that will stay with me forever.
After the humiliations this club has suffered in recent years, we deserved today. But a massive thank you to Paul Warne, the players & the coaching staff...heroes the lot of you. Biggest thank you though goes to the man who deseevedly got his minutes applause...David Clowes, you took this club from the grip of extinction & restored its pride. You deserve the freedom of this city.
P.s. was brilliant seeing the club's tribute to B4...his legend will always live on. Hope you enjoyed looking down today pal 👍
Absolutely love you Derby County. My club 🖤

What a day. I love everything about this club so much - imagine if it had gone. So happy to see David Clowes enjoying himself so much.  The standing ovation for him was just fabulous.
I cant really remember anything on the pitch after we got the second. I was worried we would run on the pitch before the end of 90mins (EFL!) - well done to the fellow fans who stopped those who were tempted.
The end was perfect - the pitch celebration was just that - so good natured and perfect that the players were loving it. A trophy - not sure why but again it just worked perfectly.
What scenes. Will never forget it.
And finally just thank you David Clowes. And thank you Paul Warne. Met him last week after Cambridge and am now totally under his spell. His hugging Max as he came off and interview on Radio Derby discussing Max and their dads sent me over the edge. He obviously cares so so much and sounded so shattered and I hope he gets to recharge properly.
People may say we're over-celebrating but has a promotion ever meant so much?

Started today with slurps at the Neppy, then in the bar at what used to be the DW  and then in. My daughter was feeling sick and dizzy, and had a cracking headache but still came to the match 'cos she simply had to!
What a cracking start (and end) by Birdy, who gave that shot everything he had! Then it went a bit flat, as if we were going to do the usual and see out a 1-goal lead to the end, but I didn't care - we are going up! The second goal lit the team up because there was now no pressure whatsoever.
Great to sing for the Right Honourable David Clowes, and the ovation at 55 minutes was brilliant! And for B4 to be commemorated so proudly was a beautiful touch!
And I did eventually go onto the pitch with son and daughter to re-live the last time, 10 years ago after the Brighton play-off semi - see both piccies below!
Is the rumour true that Paul Warne will feature in the New Years Honours list as first recipient of an MBE, which will actually be a a new honour, the Member of the Bobble Empire?
Well done Paul! You did what you were brought here to do - I had my doubts, mainly about what we had to watch, but what we did end up watching was a club going places. You've earned your stripes. Now, as 02 used to say "See what you can do"!!!

What a day. So lucky to be ale to treasure it with my sons and two grandsons, even managed to get in the pitch 😮. Magnificent support especially for David Clowes that ovation was exceptional.
The Carlisle fans were excellent and they gave us a game. Birds goal was a fitting send of and calmed any nerves. Collins goal started the party.
Special that the club remembered Dan, never met him but I will forever remember that this was the season to Be more B4.
