    Warne after the match:
"But to concede one so late on and I've been told it hits Marlon Pack's arm in the build-up which is disappointing. But you can't allow Bishop on his own in the six when you've got three centre-backs on"

Having watched the goal back this morning I find it quite odd that he's more disappointed of Bishop finding himself free in amongst our defence for the equaliser but not at fact that team completely sitting back and allowing the cross in the first place. Smith, Embleton and Barkhuizen's effort for their goal was shocking.

Exactly I mentioned this a couple weeks ago. Before we hired Warne the first footballing thing Clowes should have done was figure out what style of football should this club adopt and what will fans enjoy and then hired a manager who fits that or a director of football to implement this from a wider club standpoint so therefore we are impenetrable from the manager merry go round. Currently we have a plan in which if Warne goes by sacking or if he gets snatched by being successful (if pig's fly!) then what? What direction do we go next?
It's so counter-intuitive to not have every single age group playing the same formation because you have potentially a talent in the youth who could never make his breakthrough because the first teams tactic's are so alien to them. Max Bird is an early example. He's been moulded by playing 4-3-3 learning off Thorne/Huddlestone. From what i've seen of the Under 21 and 18's they both still playing 4-2-3-1. How are we ever going to find out if there is a wing back in the youth for Warne's 5-3-2 if that's the case.
Arguably i think the majority of us enjoy a possession based 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 because that's what we've been used to over the last 10 years that's why Warne's football is so grating to a lot of us because we have not been used to this style of play. You could say patience and time could help it but I just see clear gaps in the future progression of the club on the pitch.

You want to give Warne time to turn the Academy into a mini-Warne type player factory? Because that is what is happening, they have weekly meetings and as Warne commented he'll play Academy players when they play how he wants, oh and when they are fit enough.
That's not I want to see from our Academy let alone our first team.

So many of those 'passes' are pure hopeful hoofs without any real knowledge of where your teammate is. It's so ugly to see as the home team have no real plan of patient build up play but with Warne as long as you have padded out your running stats on your StatSports man bra you've done well!

Most damning indictment of the whole thing was Dom Dietrich interviewing James Collins afterwards, he asked what directive Warne had given him before going on: “be busy, put yourself about and if a chance comes, take it” (probably a slight paraphrase there). If run around and try and score a goal is the extent of the tactical guidance they’re being given, what hope have we got.

It was pleasing to see that they are wanting to delve into signing overseas players/non league players. I was a bit surprised both Warne or Pearce not mention that with the new FA rules coming in we should be able to sign up to 2 players without work permits so the requirements of international caps in age groups that Warne mentioned are going to be non existent now.
I understand that we are league 1 so we were not the most attractive destination but we should dip into the J League. The talent that is coming from Japan has got better each year with more and more players playing in Europe and the domestic league is a lot more physical than it once was. In terms of cost the most recent well known moves such as Mitoma, Hatate were around £1.5 mil with add ons and usually J League teams loan out the player first to see if he can settle in Europe, sell cheap but include a pretty hefty sell on fee if they become a success.
It something that could work and is very low risk.
