Rovrum have 14 games left to play in 8 weeks. They are 7 pts. behind but with a much better goal difference. So 6 pts. Their run in is about the same as ours, i would say they have it tough. Sheff Wed got a lot to do.

There are 6 dreadful teams, which unfortunately include us without any doubt.

Sheff.Wed, Rovrum, Wyc.   Still fav' s to drop for me.

But to close to call, any of the next 3 Derby, Brum. Cov.

    To go down

He could have come and punched or collected 3 or 4 long throws at Cardiff for a start and I’ve not got it in for anyone in a Derby shirt I want them all to play well but for me Roos is simply not good enough at collecting crosses and I’ve no idea why as he has the height and physique.

Is that it...wow, Just to let you know, A long throw isn't a cross, It's the use of the arms and hands, Where a cross is the use of the legs and feet.

They have the easiest run in. I have a feeling they might stay up...

You could be right Jimbo, I have a soft spot for Rotherham, I like to see the smaller clubs doing well, Not beating us twice in a season tho ?

Yep, Rotherham are going to have a lot of games in hand..

Rotherham have 14 games to fit in by the 8th of May, They'll be no extension of the season for them, So 2 games a week at least until then...gonna be tough.

Doesn’t understand football ? So you think he commands his area then? And I don’t sit in the West stand thanks.

Tell me, How many crosses didn't he collect? where you belive he should have done, Baring in mind there has to be a cross he can collect, Not the suicidal come and miss, Or the over crowded penalty area where a bump into a player could cause confusion.

I think he commands his area alot more than he did, Barnsley with their high balls into the box shows that he does, There's being critical of a player and then there's being critical because some have it in for him.

Me, He's shown this last year how far he improved, Maybe alot to do with Shay Given.

The West Stand jibe...is where Roos anti fan club sit...Not all BTW.

Improve greatly on commanding his area? When did this happen? Certainly not Cardiff away a few weeks ago he literally didn’t claim any cross all game.

Did you post this from the West Stand...Love a duck, Another that doesn't understand football.

  7. There's a very good keeper in there somewhere, Consistancy is the key, For him to reach the potential Roos needs games, I've heavily crtisised him especially the Wembley game, The Fulham game away in midweek was his downfall a couple of seasons back.

But this past 2 years he's been able to improve greatly on his commanding of his 18 yard area, Crosses were his downfall, Now it would appear he's coming to terms on when to catch or know whether to punch.

Marshall also has a mistake in him, But then so have all keepers, I'd stick with Roos for now and see, A full house at PP tho could be his undoing ?‍♀️

  8. I've just checked the calender...nope not April 1st.

I remember him getting it wrong imo with the starting 11 at Wembley(you're only as good as your last game)I remember him being on holiday with his entourage somewhere hot, I remember him stringing the talks so PC had very little time to settle into his managers job here.

    No just a Spiv imo.

Right ... but...  there are quite a lot of targets there - saying hit them, doesn’t equate to a bullseye. You have to actually doit ! right now I back our lads to keep fighting and raise the ratio of goals scored per game. Waggies poor form in front of goal won’t go on forever, Lawrence still has something to give and I haven’t given up on Roberts on the strength of one iffy game.

This season or next season, When was his last game, How many trees has he pulled up this season, When he eventually makes the squad he has to get in the team, Then comes match fitness, It's a long road back.

It will be stomach churning looking at the table for the rest of the season. I don’t see us pulling away from this pack but I think we will comfortably reach the 50 point mark.

It’s frustrating that we’ve had such good results since Rooney’s come in but are still table watching.

Try walking up the down escalator, That's what WR was dealt, He was given a Pigs ear to try and make a silk purse, This squad is head and shoulders better prepared than what PC left, I'll say it again...this division is unforgiving, We were down with the dead men once upon a time, WR has given this club a sense of belief, There's not even a thought from me that we will be in danger of going down ?

Yep.  Huddersfield with Holmes and Keogh wanting to stuff us and then Forest also wanting the same thing

Yeh and us rolling over to have our bellies tickled ?, So what do you think our players are thinking?

Morons. Some people are happy to suppeta... suppelta... suppeltate... yeah that's it suppletate in the Championship indefinitely.

Hang on what's going off here? I'm trying to keep up Tyler but now you're throwing in foreign muck. What's that comma thing ăbout?

It's not a "comma thing" it's a bit of dust, Just wipe your screen ?

Wednesday have been the same all season. We just had a really poor start under a manager who hadn't a clue what he was doing. You look at the form since Rooney has taken over and wonder what on earth were we doing down the bottom.

Curtis Davies on the EFL on Quest pretty much said that "Cocu didn't really know the Championship and brought a style of football that suited other teams, Where WR has simplified the game"

No longer in danger? That’s opinion, not a fact.

Now we have overtaken all of them. We’ve had an incredible turnaround. But that is why we can’t relax and discount other teams. If we can do that, so can other teams. We have to be on our guard and appreciate that things can change quickly.

    This.

I've always been confident in WR and our upturn in form has shown my confidence was right, But as you say it can quickly change, This division is long and unforgiving, Our weekness is/has been not putting to the sword those below and around us, We find it difficult to break teams down who sit back and hit us on the break, Naive or lack of concentration, A miss here a save there has cost us a good few points when playing those who are/were in the same position as us.

    Wednesday...3pts

    Rotherham...6pts

    Wycombe...2pts

    Coventry...2pts

    Huddersfield...3pts

    QPR...3pts

    Ooops not forgetting the dogs...2pts

    If only aye.

You're messing with semantics. 'Down to finances' is what I said - ie spend a budget. Recently Mel has reined in the budget. So yes finances play a big part. But how has Rooney managed to get in 5 new players?

    Se my earlier post ?

  16. 5 minutes ago, RoyMac5 said:

Martin had been able to sign for another club since the January, it was obvious he wasn't going to stay - Cocu should have known we wouldn't up our budget for him.

It might not have totally been finances - see how Rooney has wheeled and dealed. Perhaps it was down to Cocu's choice of player that he'd settle for?

Negotiations with Martin/Agent went on and on from January, Offers were made, A final offer was made he turned it down, The workings of a final few months of a players contract are a minefield, A pre contract could have been signed, His agent could have put the word out on his availability, It went to the wire, For me Martin played his cards right...pay me what I want or i'm off on a free, I just wonder what Bristol stumped up in wages for him, Whatever it is it looks like money pissed down the drain.

Players left, Holmes manufactured his move and it freed up wages, Whittaker and Evens went for circa £1.5million plus wages saved, Gordon looks to be off to Liverpool for £1million+, Players coming in would I assume would have part of wages paid by their parent club and DCFC maybe having to pay a loan fee...details we don't know about.

As for finances...it's all down to finances, That's why MM wants out and we're walking up the down escalator.
