Don’t get the focus on whether - in January -  we are top, second or third when it’s all so close. Keeping in touch,  playing well and avoiding too many injuries is what we need

I think on the Pugwash-John-luc Picard metric he's been hovering around Hornblower, but on the Flintoff-Cook metric he's been vairiable between Strause and Hussain, whilst further still, on the hindsight-obvious metric he's best when he's five years younger that he is now.

I think that's a bit unfair personally. Considering Hourihane is clearly a cultured midfielder, he has adapted surprisingly well to Warne's more energetic style of play - the problem is he simply doesn't have the legs to keep that effort up & Warne seems disinclined to sub him, probably because he has the type of game changing quality in his locker that we saw last night. It would appear that some are mistakenly confusing that tiredness with a lack of effort/passion. As others have also mentioned, he certainly looked very happy with his winner last night & leads the team well in terms of professionalism/high standards on & off the field.
I've noticed a few folk calling out Max Bird as well over the past 24 hours despite the fact I thought he played well last night especially defensively. The real issue is that the blend isn't right in midfield with both of them in there. We need an energetic midfielder amongst both of them or in place of one of them. Contrary to the majority on here it seems, I strongly believe that should be Fornah.

Think if fans invade again and get it stopped the opposing teams should  get the 3points, would think twice if that happened.

Yes. But we’re told there are PL teams interested.  I can’t imagine a recruiting team at a PL club recommending they sign a player who gets skinned like that in Div1. Taylor is rapid but no more than most PL strikers

There’s a mile to go in this league. But game after game we look ordinary and lacking consistency and it’ll be hard to win promotion if that doesn’t change.
No Vickers doesn’t look as reliable as a Wildsmith, especially when it comes to owning the box. Would love to know the thinking.

The assets are worth whatever was paid for them. The valuation of those assets doesn’t have to be what was on the books of the previous company. However, the accounting policy on the valuation of a player via the length left on a contract might be similar to that on the previous company.

The intangible asset here is possibly Bieliks contract. However this asset, in my view should have been significantly impaired. The carrying value which I’m assuming is around £2m seems too big especially given that he was later moved on to Birmingham at a price much less than £2m. So there must be other players within that valuation.
We just need more detail, we’re just guessing here.

What a complete load of tripe.
MM may have been owed money from Sevco/Gellaw but I'm not aware of any documents that show he was owed in excess of £200m by the club.
@The Baronwould you like to qualify this comment and explain where you got your figures from?
