If only yeah. We could just ignore the reality of the situation and say he's a really good finisher if you like. I like Dobbin but I don't understand the need to lie about an area he is currently extremely poor in.

I'm being realistic and looking at ten seasons of statistics. Sure the odd surprise will occur now and again like Leicester winning the Premiership but was 5000/1 and by Christmas they looked well on for it.
On current performance we need a 17 point swing for top two, 24 points swing for the title. Allowing for those above us to have a bad run of form, lets downgrade them to the ten season average. That's still Derby needing a 10 point swing for top two and a 16 point swing for the title. We need to achieve around 18 wins for this to happen to make up ground and make the challenge. That's 18 wins from 22 games, or on current forecasted performance around 21 wins from 22 games. It simply isn't going to happen.
Plymouth have already strengthen with three quality additions in Callum Wright, Saxon Earley and Ben Waine. Sheffield Wednesday are heavily linked with the likes of Aden Flint, Tayo Edun, Luke McNally and James Hill - Darren Moore is obviously happy with his attack and is shoring up the backline. Ipswich are meant to be spending big and are said to be lining up bids for Morgan Whittaker and others.
We're having to scrap around the clearance bins trying to find anything remotely decent. As Darren Robinson said on RD the other night, the players we're targeting will either be way out of fitness, massively out of form, injury prone or all of the above. We haven't got the luxury of available resources that the others have, neither do we have the points already on the board like they do.
But hey, call me negative. 

Dobbin came in for loads of stick before his heroics.  Just look at his last dribble down the wing tho - the ball bobbling all over the place. Fozzy and Warne both mentioned the pitch. Hard for a player like Dobbin who relies so much on close control to adapt - the other players had the whole game to get used to a pitch that was degrading.

Result was brilliant, but think we'd have been lamenting the performance otherwise, regardless of missed chances. Far too long, not enough thought behind our play, they got behind our midfield to run at the defence far too often... even with a bad pitch, it wasn't pretty. Dobbin the game changer, even though he definitely should have scored 1 or 2 himself.

It’s been mentioned already but big shout out to Springett for not giving up on that ball for the winning goal. Good chance it would’ve finished a draw if it went out. 

Just got home, I'm hoarse, got sore knees from too much bouncing and ringing in my ears from the absolute bonkers noise in the away end.
It's nights like these that David Clowes has given us back when they were so nearly taken away from us.
As for arguing about budgets and squad values, tonight of all nights!  There's only one thing you need to know - the togetherness of owner, squad, fans - it is priceless. 
 

Yes, but that also wasn't what I said? To make a punishment proportional to Derby, revenue has to be taken into account. If you won't even acknowledge that, there is no point is us discussing this further. 

In what respect is it irrelevant? It's massively relevant when discussing restrictions and what is reasonable and proportional to Derby and you well know this.
