I didn't like Lampsie or whatever his name is, He came across as some little hard case who had something to prove, Same in the game at Torquay, He's now off my Xmas card list 

I agree that the type of corners Byrne would often take were particularly troublesome, but I've seen it so often - when a player gets the pace and trajectory right, even if the trajectory is flatter, they're hard to defend because most teams are slow (and reluctant) to adjust their defensive approach to set pieces during a game. Of course, beating the near post defenders or getting a flick on is equally important.

We actually did create a hatful of chances.
If we had a weakness, it was at the back but we will never see that back line in a league game so I'm not too worried about that.
Have people ever really watched McGoldrick and his economy of movement around the pitch? He operates as a pivot with all the young lads running around him. Keeps a bit in the tank for the odd sprint and didn't seem at all perturbed about playing the full game. He just wanted his goal (which he got.) The real stand out player of last night, though Bird was pushing him close before his injury.
Sibley continues to be played in a variety of positions (most of any player this season so far) and Warne trusts him. He's learning how to give a disciplined performance where asked - very valuable at his age.
I thought Dobbin, Osula, Rooney, and especially Tommo played very well - as did Wildsmith and Fozzy.
I love how Fozzy and Stears are constantly helping and encouraging the younger players.
At times last night it felt like a training game due to the lack of fans but it gave fringe players some minutes on the pitch, Warne a chance to look at those players against real opposition and a boost to the confidence of the goalscorers.
Let's keep some perspective here.

Too many of Hourihane's corners are "floaty", which either means the attacker has to provide all of the power and direction whilst under pressure from defenders, or the keeper has an easy sight of it if it's too close to him. 
Sibley's are usually hard and flat, fired into the 6 yard area. Those are much easier to attack and much harder to defend. 
We do need a mix of corner styles, but whenever the taker hits the right trajectory, he'll have the defence in trouble however many times he does it.

It’s not the corner that’s the issue.
No one in Derby’s team can run, jump and head a football.
They all seem to want to head it from a standing start. It’s no surprise that they are beaten with such regularity or that on the few occasions they do succeed, the ball goes upwards not goalwards.
 

They’re 65 places below us!  Chesterfield just put 5 past them at their place !

yeah my basic point was we should mix it up however good Hourihane is. Fozzy might now be our best crosser in percentage terms now Byrne is gone. Sibley hits corners flat, they tend always to be the same shape so the defender gets the gist. You also need the odd short corner here and there and more imagination from the runners, cue a giff of the Forest blitzkrieg corner. 
 
Another set piece frustration is: we should always have two men over a free kick in shooting range, and both should get themselves in motion in the keeper’s line of sight. Maybe managers shy away from that because it looks so rank when it goes wrong but you want uncertainty in the wall and for the gk

He’s the best media face for the FA that we’ve seen in years. Because he’s politically correct, plenty smart enough and has loads of integrity. When it comes to managing the team on the pitch, he’s no better than Wayne Rooney

That was mad playing McGoldrick that long.

No idea why McGoldrick would play 104 minutes with Portsmouth coming up. And why not give Loach an outing? There were some bright spots - Tommo stringing some passes together at last, Osula at times, some magical balls from Didzy, Dobbin’s goal, overall a decent defensive display. But given where Torquay are playing I think Warne has a point. Poor decision making repeatedly from Dobbin, Osula, a stubbornly unenigmatic display from Sibley, Bird still in the doldrums, even a sloppy pass from Windsmith. Anyway, job done I guess

Judging by the last 4 games, I think our keeper is in with a shout for best signing so far.

Not seen anything on here about the recent deal with the NSPCC. (May have missed it though. ) Anyway, seems a great way for David Clowes to continue to restore the club culture that most fans want to see. 
He’s got loads of goodwill so hopefully he’ll be bold and there’ll be more things like this 

Are any proceeds of shirt sales going to the charity?  (Genuine question, not being arsey!)
 
I'm aware the NSPCC logo is exclusive to the player's matchday attire, and the club shop replicas won't be having it on, but hadn't read anything relating to shirt sales still making a few quid for the charity.
Would be good if that was the case.
