To those Uber fan members who decided to leave at 3-1 yesterday, would you like to stop going away so those of us who will support the team until the end can go please. Many thanks. ?

Just ventured back onto the site so have not read much about peoples opinions on the game.  Just a few thoughts..
I was surprised at how soulless a place Adams Park was despite it's rural location (probably a lot nicer on a sunny day). The Wycombe fans I met were very friendly and helped me navigate my way back to my car which was parked in the nearby housing estate at the top of a very steep hill.
I enjoyed the red kites soaring above the ground, but what was the police helicopter all about?  Had a good view behind the goal until the stewards decided to have a meeting almost on the pitch for most of the second half - one of them tossed the ball away when we were chasing the game which caused a lot of anger - it was like all of their staff were instructed to time waste!
I was expecting a battle and we got one, They looked the stronger team physically and pressed us very well especially first half.  Mc Goldrick was not given a second on the ball and had little effect until he set up the equaliser.  At this point it was anyone's game with chances at both ends until we conceded disappointingly from a simple corner routine.  Once the third went in, there seemed to be a mass exodus from our end - what happened to fighting until the end? With PV in mind and after a 2.5 hour drive to get there, I was not giving up so easily and we so nearly rescued a point.  It is almost a year ago since we were beaten at Middlesboro, singing similar songs about their chairman - we never seemed to get those satisfying wins against the hated teams!  I am not too down about the loss and we move onto Lincoln, hoping for a good reaction and 3 important points.

I'm not overreacting about the defeat because I think we will bounce straight back.
BUT,I agree with those that saw a three-man midfield as the answer to us getting morecontrol of the game - what a pity Warne wasn't one of those.
I thought Roberts was playing okay today and felt it cruel to replace him with Sibley, who was desperately needed further forward.
Great finish from Dobbin and Collins will feel better for putting his chance away from open play (should have had more, though!)
Can I just say everything about that cheapskate little clu b gets on my nerves. I will be writing to them for a refund on my ticket because how a football club manages to get away with selling 1800 tickets to fans without any adequate basic provision of toilet facilities is completely beyond me!
And as for Ainsworth being allowed to stand on the touchline in front of our full back when he's trying to take a thow in without any word of admonishment from the referee - it beggars belief.
Good to see our lads fighting to the end even when we were upagainst it - they'll all be nursing bruises from the mauling they got today.
Think the fans' egos were a bit bruised, too. Our 'singing' section was noticeable by its absence this afternoon.  Shame; we need to make more noise when we're losing - that's when we're needed most!
Thankfully, we're nearly home  so at least the motorway hasn't conspired againt us this evening. Small consolation.

I enquired about hospitality a few weeks back as a back up plan and was told it was sold out apart from a few spaces in the corner stand. They were happy to sell us two places knowing we're Derby fans. Not sure if there are any places left.

Interesting to see we only ever seem to win it in the winter months (Oct-Jan) and that we never won it between 1996 and 2006 when we had such a good team in the late 90s.

Fully deserved. He’s the real deal. Just hope the usual hoodoo doesn’t hit us now. We need to keep winning. Big support required tomorrow at Wycombe and I’ll be there. ?

Another memorable away day, getting off the train I remember thinking how good the acoustics were at Nottingham station as hundreds of Derby fans gathered in the concourse. Stood on the open terrace behind the goal, there was a feeling of promotion in the early spring air with many fans waving flags. It was great to witness all three goals going in at our end and I cannot remember an away game where we made up such a large proportion of the crowd, about 70%.

That 1911 video is great.  Bill McCracken's name can be see on the Newcastle team sheet for that game. He made his debut for Distillery in 1900 and he was still involved in the game in the modern era.  He was a manager for many years and then he was a scout. He found Pat Jennings for Watford. One link says he formally retired as a scout in 1971 but I have seen other references that suggest he was still scouting almost until his death in 1979. As a player he was so influential he was the reason they changed the offside law from three to two players.

In 1985/86 game 28 was a 3 - 0 away win at Notts County and according to the match report more than 9,000 of the 13,086 crowd were Derby fans
The win took us to 56 points, still 3 ahead of our current total. Also, we were in 4th position but had up to 6 games in hand on the teams above us
In 1984/85 game 28 was a midweek 3 - 0 away defeat at Bristol City keeping us on 40 points, 13 behind our current total
