I reckon the DFS sale will end before we come out of administration.

If Appleby is walking away it makes me think that either the admins or Mel has already got a secretive deal in place with Ashley but he wants certain things happening before he’ll officially commit. 
 
His name keeps sticking around and Appleby has been in from the off so surely they’d have been chosen by now if the admins thought they were the best option. 
 
Think this season on the pitch has been fun but how much enjoyment the remaining matches will bring is questionable. Hopefully we can storm league 1 next season and come back fresher than before.

True, but I can’t remember Bielsa, Wilder, Frank or Howe drawing strong interest at any time of them being in the championship. I guess Rowett we were unlucky and then with Lampard and Rooney it’s what comes with their high profiles.

If they offer it him he’s gone. I had full belief that Lampard would do the right thing by us and look how that turned out. 
  
Rooney seems to want to stay not matter what but Everton/Man Utd will be too tempting. 
 
As for the compo i reckon we’d get no more than £2m. But hopefully that’s irrelevant as they’ll go for Martinez ?

If we were to get let’s say £7m for Knight this would be enough for us to complete the season. Am I right in thinking that the EFL could then allow us to bring in free transfers and loans? 

I’ve had enough, I’ve sat silently and patiently, foolishly hoping after the points deduction that this was a clean slate. 
It’s clear that the EFL have a vendetta against this club and this latest move to block the preferred bidder needs highlighting and discussing from the highest media platforms and people of influence across the country. 
As a fan base, chanting in the stadium simply isn’t enough anymore. We need to put real, sustained pressure on the EFL in the form of media exposure and noise. 
Small steps lead to big things, the future of our football club is at stake, let’s not let it die without a fight!

Sounds like Ashley can offer us so much more but he’s not prepared to get his hands dirty. In which case he can jog on.
Beyond angry at how all this is being played out. Ashley treating it like a game of chess whilst every single fan is seeing their pride and joy ripped to pieces. Nobody apart from Rooney and the players deserve any bit of our respect or best wishes.
