It's a shame people can only form their opinions on players based on what Sky pundits (who are paid to create talking points) and slow motion replays tell them.
If you look at Fozzy's "stamp" in real time, he is just trying to extricate himself from the tangle. Not looking, no intent but they insist on making a meal of it.
Similarly the Forest equaliser in real time - appalling marking, crisp shot. Roos did well to nearly get down to it and many keepers (Marshall included) wouldn't have got anywhere near. But play it in slo-mo, it's suddenly an "error". 

Instead of doing a sarcastic gif post why not have an input and disagree with the post. So you feel there are enough goals through this team then to see out games? 

Yep. Fully understand the sentiment of the thread but equally we’ve had our nose in front 4 times now, if we had kept a clean sheet in all those games, well the maths are easy on lost points.
You could just as easily say, scoring first is not a problem but managing a game out to keep a clean sheet is an issue.

Agreed, but not conceding when we are in the lead is equally important. 
Corners and freekicks seem to be our cryptonite. 

First W of the season. Congrats everyone! 

Couple things I found interesting about the game:
As expected Baldock helps stretch the game out which has a compounding effect on the rest of team making it easier to play There was a nice balance with the attacking three midfielders today. Morrison was the only one who would drop deep (often very deep) whereas both Sibley and Jozwiak would stay high and narrow alternating between offering for the ball or looking to run beyond the backline. This had the great effect (combined with Baldock) that Sibley and Jozwiak often managed to get in a lot of space to turn and drive at the defence which I think is the major goal of what we are trying to do tactically. There was a bit of a change in how we approached build up play and I think it's the major reason why Bird could flourish. As opposed to both DMs splitting, only Shinnie would pull into the left back slot and in fact Bird would often come more central than his starting position with Morrison often dropping into either side of him. What this meant was Bird saw a hell of a lot more of the ball and could open out onto his stronger foot more readily than when cramped up on the right. It also meant that we could limit how much off the ball was going into Shinnie. I think (but I can't be sure) a lot of this is because Jagielka can be relied upon on the ball on the right so doesn't need as easy an outball to the right off him and is comfortable stepping into that space with the ball. I think to compensate slightly for this Byrne was less forwards.   

Surely shared responsibility. 

Ckr was down for ages and was eventually stretchered off..I think that accounted for much of it.

we're done aren't we. Might as well start singing 'we're going down' and embrace it. First half was pretty dire from both teams, we had all the tempo of a walking football team and the penetration of a 1,000 year old rusted sword. Partly due to the strange decision to ensure our most creative players pick the ball up in the defensive third and focus all our attacking energy on the right hand side thereby leaving CKR isolated. It's not going to work, it looked sh** in pre-season and it looks sh** now. Defensively, we looked rocky the few times peterborough mustered the quality to string a few passes together but fortunately they were few and far between. 

Second half it opened up and we abandoned our very odd horseshoe tactic. There was some tempo and as Sibley got on the ball we looked more likely to make something happen. The middle of the park was there for us to run into ensuring a solid counter but very rarely did we actually do much in terms of chance creation. Another goal from a set piece but from open play just like last season we really struggle to actually create real chances. 

The lack of a backbone for the last 20 minutes was absolutely appalling and downright shameful. I thought at the very least they'd have acquired one given the events off the pitch but apparently not. First goal was the result of about 3 different errors; Stearman screwing the header, Kamil not tracking and Byrne on his heels not following the man in. Then it was all Peterborough as we were completely panicked and were unable to cope. Second goal again the result of at least 2 blunders from Davies and Bird getting in each other's way and then Byrne making an absolute hash of it. But Peterborough deserved the win overall, they offered more going forward and although they are very shaky at the back they did one thing we didn't... they never gave up. 

I wish the prediction league table was still a thing as unfortunately got both the first two results correct.

Todays rollercoaster was worth the lack of sleep!

I’ve castigated and chastised. I’ve cursed and complained. But today I kicked and headed every ball. And I don’t doubt for a moment they gave their absolute all. Varying degrees of ability but I asked for everything and I believe they gave it. And the relief is immense. I can’t effect any decision and however we start next season I will give my 100% support because it’s a clean slate, we have many issues to resolve. But we are fans of football so let’s stand together as DCFC and go and enjoy our summer. I applaud you all including our big differences sometimes because we have a Ram on and in our heart and today I have tears in my eyes. LETS GO FORWARD AS A TEAM. If Wayne Rooney is our manager next season then so be it. MY RAMS! ? 

Can we please stop lambasting Fozzy. Theres been enough poor play from the whole squad this season and he doesn't need singling out today. I'm sure he's fuming with himself. He's been a fantastic servant to this club, gone through multiple career threatening injuries and I'm glad he's with us still.
