samwcave got a reaction from Dordogne-Ram in Rooney, staff and squad: legends
What an incredible and inspiring bunch of lads and lasses who all contribute to run this amazing club in one way or another. What an absolute pleasure to call myself a derby fan.
Everything must happen for a reason. We will be back.
Proud is an understatement. Onto bigger and better things in the (hopefully) near future.
Derby til I die. ?

Realistically, we started this season with Bielik and Lawrence who would walk into most sides in this league in terms of their ability. We lost, pretty much, our players who might be used in a rotation system aside Byrne, Knight, Davies and basically our academy system. Yet we still took it to 43 games and fully comfortable in this league without points deductions and embargo’s (and yes, they are probably suitable punishments blah blah blah).
Find me a club that would get anywhere near what we did. There will be a few that are gonna revel in this who don’t realise how close they are to our situation, and if they get dragged into it they won’t put up half the fight.
It was inevitable, but Rooney, the staff, the squad and the fans conducted themselves in the right way throughout.

samwcave got a reaction from S8TY in Who would you like as new DCFC owner?
Relegation twice in a 14 year reign of which the rest were in the prem? 12 years of the 14 spent in the premier league…. Not established whatsoever!
and I’m fairly certain that you’d much prefer that to the state we’re in now.
by the way, I’m not saying he is my ideal, however we would be very comfortable under Ashley, and that is a fact.

You say this, but I think we would have a comfortable life under Ashley. He has a poor reputation for Newcastle, but in all fairness he established them as a lower premier league side. Would you not take that? I certainly would.

You're aware we currently can't pay any of our bills? Mike Ashley leaves Newcastle in a financially stable position.

samwcave got a reaction from Sean in Mel Morris interview on Radio Derby 1pm
Ed Dawes was fantastic during that. Properly tested Mel with how he questioned everything. Sadly, all Mel had to say was “that’s a great question, and I’ll answer that for you”.
