Depends on your view of our strikers. McGoldrick isn’t a solo number 9 to me, Barkhuizen doesn’t like playing up front alone according to him and I don’t think Stretton is good enough.

He’s had multiple first team games in this league already. He wouldn’t be signing for our u21s. We are a league one team.

He won’t be for the u21s. He’s extremely highly regarded and Everton can play him in their own youth team. The only time we have ever loaned players for the youth team is when their contract is soon to expire and it’s used as almost a trial, this is definitely not that.

This may be a short loan.
Calvert-Lewin just picked up a knee injury in training.

Did you miss the part where we got a new owner who’s nothing to do with the previous ownership and had already been punished to the tune of 21 points and the majority of the players we had leaving? Where have you been?

Happy with this. Not going to pretend I’ve ever seen him play, but just from pure attributes and positional point of view it’s something we didn’t have and desperately needed in the squad.

He blocked me for telling someone in the comments a while ago he’s a forest fan. There was no malice or anything, a simple statement. He’s very sensitive about it.

I absolutely love his name. Get him in on that basis alone.
Dobbin and Flex are exactly the sort of loan signings I wanted for the wide positions. Young, high ceiling footballers looking for their first break in football. They compete with two established football league players so it's healthy competition.
Wide players, by their very nature, are inconsistent so it's good to be able to freshen it up and give players a break from time-to-time.

It's good we seem to be exploring lots of options to bring in attacking talent. I do think adding a winger, striker, right back and keeper would make for a strong squad, and this lad sounds another decent possibility.

No idea why Forest are peddling the Lingard wage stories via local newspapers and Percy.
They really expect people to believe that he left £2.5m on the table, not to mention a multi-year deal, to join Forest on a one year deal?
It's very obvious that he was paid a substantial (my guess would be £6m signing bonus) so the wage of £80k-a-week is irrelevant.

That’s not really true. Mount had played for Vitesse for a year, Wilson and Tomori had both played for Hull (I think).
Doesn’t really matter anyway, this is for the first team squad. The suggestion it isn’t is very wrong.

Adapting your car analogy… it’s like Mel crashed his car into someone but then sold it off afterwards. Clowes bought said battered and falling to bits car and fixed it up, but certain posters here want Clowes to pay the insurance claim from the initial accident just because he now has the car!

Srg reacted to Carl Sagan in Petition to Derby to remove our relationship to gambling companies
Fair enough. I like having a flutter and am happy to have gambling companies as sponsor at any time. I've found betting on a game has been a fun thing to do for many years, just as drinking at a game has. Humans are social animals and these things add to the mix and I'd suggest it's a strange attitude to partake in either but then want the names of the companies involved banned from the ground. As noted in the thread, the National Lottery is the biggest form of gambling in in country and I'd be delighted if they want to put Lotto on the Derby shirts. I feel there are too many morality lessons from the middle classes pervading society nowadays, who don't like seeing what us dirty oiks get up to.

So the role which requires harder work and more graft, is easier when you get older? I’ll be shocked if he plays up front alone unless it’s for injuries.
