You're right in that a lot of lagers do taste similar to the average person. You can really dig into it with tasting through Aroma, Appearance, Mouthfeel, Taste and Finish in proper tasting, but the most simple way is through a 1-5 rating on both sweetness and bitterness. If you're putting the three mainstream lagers against each other, you're looking at Fosters being the sweetest and least bitter, Carlsberg being the most bitter and least sweet and Carling being balanced between the two. That is the reason for the popularity - it appeals to the widest range tastes.
Craft lager is where you get the wider variants as there's more license I suppose to do something a bit different.

Bizarre comment. Clearly the teams he's with think he can't play that level anymore and has only been used sparingly by Anderlecht this season. There is much more money to be had in the English leagues than across the continent. Get rewarded well, play in front of full houses and far more people than at Anderlecht every week. With the chance to build a reputation in England, the home of football, and the gateway to the Premier League. And reputedly a man of great character - just the sort of leader we should be looking for at the next level.

Might be an unpopular opinion because I, like everyone else, love the lad. But I also don't believe he would make it in the Premier League, so I don't foresee that value increasing at any point. So should we get offered those kind of numbers, I'd likely take it.

I see a lot of people releasing Loach but not sure I would. He's more of a coach at this point, he will be on peanuts.
