Otis Gibson and Yorkshire fans sulking we didn't set up some kind of chase is quite amusing.

I didn't want to start a new thread but we lost another special fan last night. For those who know of Colin Attenborough, or remember a few months ago a message Paul Warne did for him (link below), he passed away peacefully in his sleep last night. I knew Colin by playing Poker with him - a great guy - passionate about the team - and I'm happy he was able to be with us until the promotion was secured.
    RIP Colin.

A think a few things to think about here.
    1. I’d take those estimates there with a pinch of salt. That estimate puts Blackburn players on less than £6k a week on average. (25 players) Not having it.
    2. Our wage bill has been widely reported but that figure, someone correct me if I’m wrong, is the entire clubs wage bill. Not just playing staff. There is no way our average players wage is £13.5k a week.

Clowes Developments makes in the region of £20m profit a year looking at their accounts. It’s an extremely well run business.
That company is pumping £5m a season roughly so far into the club to break it even. They have the money to do this whilst we operate on that structure. The Championship increases our revenues by circa £10m but so also brings a huge increases in costs.

DC (through his company) buying the club is 100% a sentiment thing to stop us going under. There is no way in any business sense he buys us as a business to make money. I honestly don’t think people truly understand just how much he has saved us.
My curiosity is that when you ‘look for an investor’ - what does that look like? Clowes Developments sells 49% stake in DCFC (not the stadium) for X amount to an investor and in return the investor agrees to invest an additional sum of money into the club, possibly spread over a certain time frame?
Again, I don’t see anyone doing this to make money - more they see DC as someone they can work with and trust. My issue with joint ownership models is how well they work out when conflict occurs.

As an investor no, but for Clowes the stadium is the only bit which fits in their companies portfolio and is a different legal entity.

I don't think Wavensmere will be getting involved - they are an entirely different property developer and based in the West Mids. I'd be very surprised to see them making a substantial investment.
Tbh, I'd rather see them deliver their plans for Friar Gate Goods Yard which were approved last week!

B4 is ours, and we will always hold him close to our hearts.
But when you see the sheer numbers of names on the Rams remembered tribute at Pride Park twice a season, you see the scope of Derby County fans who die each season.
They are each and every one of them someone else's B4.
