We already have an adult and a 6-12 season ticket. But have just booked 4 tickets for the Swansea game for the rest of my family.
All we can do now is get behind Wayne and the players. COYR.

I just want to say that I am a realist and I know the likelihood involved, but if we're admitting defeat and saying relegation is a certainty only 8 games into the season, we might as well fold the club now
You've got to believe it can be done. A bit of wild hope never hurt anyone. If we've got this defeatist attitude already, don't be surprised to get tonked every game now until the end of the season. How can the players have any belief if we as the fans don't?
Call me an idiot if you like but come on. Let's give it a try, no?

We are and should always be Derby County! Changing to an awful name like “Derby City” would alienate so many people, hundreds of thousands, who like I live in Derbyshire and always follow the Rams!

Can somebody correct me if any of this is wrong.

    (i) Mel has led us into this mess
(ii) He still has over £300m to his name
(iii) We owe HMRC £27m and need to settle total debts of around £50m
(iv) If the above three are correct then is it unreasonable to think the decent thing would be for Mel to reduce his fortune to around £250m by settling the debts?

He would still be the person responsible for damaging DCFC's reputation and plunging us into relegation turmoil through points deductions but he would at least be respected for taking the financial hit as a consequence of his numerous mistakes. Not to mention safeguarding jobs and settling debts to small local businesses.
Allowing administration to happen whilst sitting on £300m is obscene.

    From the Athletic article:
"Rooney is said to have been an impressive figurehead in the crisis to date. In the wake of the “admin bomb”, as one player put it, the manager was aiming to deliver updates to his squad on Tuesday ahead of a weekend trip to Sheffield United. The expectation from within the dressing room is that Rooney intends to ride out the storm.

“This doesn’t change anything with him,” says one well-placed source. “He said to the lads ahead of the Stoke game that he wasn’t going to leave them in the trenches. He said he’ll fight with them and stand up for them. He said he could’ve walked weeks ago but this is very important to him.”

The more I read the angrier I get. It's one thing gambling with your own money, but this was gambling with the very existence of the club - in other words gambling with something which has been very important to generations of people with a fraction of the money that Mel has. It's not even like he's gone bankrupt in the process, just walked away with his overpriced stadium and list of people who are 'really' to blame.

Ultimately, whatever Mel has said and done. The fact is he bought the club, he authorised the contract and signed the cheques in a gamble to get us into the premier league, it hasn’t worked out and he should be the one paying for it now. The guy is a wealthy enough man to keep the club  afloat for many many years to come. The simply fact is he doesn’t want to.
How does this persist? Why when it happened to Wigan and Bury was it not sorted.
FFP\P&S is a broken system… it allows clubs to loose £39 million over a 3 year period before anyone takes notice?! Bury can’t afford to loose £39m and now they are gone.
I have said for a long time now, and I heard G Neville say something similar at the weekend. There needs to be real time regulation of clubs. There needs to be a way of making owners accountable. Let’s use the example of Mel. Mel bought Derby and he was reportedly worth £500m apparently he still is?! But let’s say he’s not and he’s “only” now worth £100m. He’s still got £100m that rightly (unfortunately not legally) should be in the club.

Morally how is it right that Mel has £100m but the staff member at Moore farm won’t be paid and they will have to beg borrow steal to buy a loaf of bread now?
Why is it that Wayne Rooney is paying for the teams away trips?
Why is is that loyal Derby fans who paid for their season tickets and asked for a refund during the pandemic were ignored?!

Something has to be done in future. Owners should have to personally guarantee their clubs liability’s over and above their incomings. Even if the there was some protection to owners - for example If you have an owner worth - £500m they have to personally guarantee the club until their down to their last £10m.
Maybe then when Mel was hell bent on promotion, he’d have thought more about the contracts he was signing! He’d have thought harder about sacking Clement, Pearson, Cocu. He’d have thought harder about appointing them and he’d have know that if this goes wrong it’s going to cost him most of his fortune.

However, this is not the case and Mel can now got to bed tonight sleeping like a baby, knowing that his money is safe. I genuinely believe he thinks he’s been hard done by here and it’s not his fault. Mel if you’re reading, pay off the debts. We know you can afford to. Just leave the club in the same state that you found it in.

Ever since it came to light that Derby was being ran badly and our owner decided to go into hiding, our fan base has been the only true shining light. Oh, and Rooney and the players who have been the most professional bunch of people to represent Derby County under ridiculous circumstances.
Tomorrow I'll be supporting my club, Wayne and the boys and hopefully 3 points.

Rooney has had multiple interviews now, where he has been asked the question about walking away. He consistently says no. We have been crying out for stability and loyalty from a manager since Nigel Clough. He arguably has the toughest job of any manager for as long as I can remember supporting Derby (22 years) and despite having a bare minimum squad and having all the problems above him, he continues to show that he cares and wants to do well.
We are starting to see a style of play which is exciting and attacking with the handful players he has.
I think it's about time everyone starts to show respect to him instead of wanting him out. Any other manger would have left us in this mess.

He's sticking with us, we need to stick with him !!

I think we should stick with Rooney through the summer.
    Hear me out. Please.
The season has been the worst I can remember as a Derby fan. Rooney came in and managed to make us solid for a good run before injuries and confidence got sapped away. Add to that all the disruption in the boardroom and EFL stuff and it’s been a real baptism of fire.
I believe that he can learn from these lessons and all the teams start at 0 points (hopefully) next season and have 46 games to strive or survive. His tactics have been condemned most recent match days, but the squad has been bare bones for the run in.
Changing manager will take time and it won’t help us rebuild our squad, which is the priority right now. Rooney has the contacts and the name to draw in better players than our league position deserves. The Waghorn interview after the match leads me to believe that the players still believe in him.
Getting rid of Rooney will Also cost money that is better off used on the squad. Let him sign some players to build a better squad, give him some games next season to get some results. If things start terribly and don’t improve then we can get rid.
No one will be expecting us to transform and be a top 6 side next season, so let’s try and get some stability back in the coaching team.

    You’ve solved the entire case!
Keogh went for a nap without telling anyone early in the evening. Just before midnight he was awoken. Confused and unaware of what was going on, Keogh sprung up in the backseats of Lawrence’s car (obviously without a seatbelt as he was sleeping in a previously stationary vehicle), startling the driver and temporarily paralysing him as the car hurtled towards the car in front. Lawrence panicked, thinking he had a zombie in the back of his car, fleeing the scene and dragging two of his teammates along with him. It was only when the adrenaline subsided he realised it was the team’s captain in his car. They returned to check on him soon after. Meanwhile, the first responder approached the recently awoken Keogh who still thought he was dreaming, was questioned for his name. He responded with his dreamworld name.
