FlyBritishMidland got a reaction from Ramrob in End of season celebrations.
Not watching bits of the game but I’ve been going through the RD podcasts while out walking the dogs. Done the whole of the post-match and today I finished the full Monday night show. EFL podcast with Collins is next.
Trouble is, that wind keeps making my eyes water.

FlyBritishMidland reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Games That Aren't Talked About Enough
24th September 1997, Sheffield Wednesday 2 - 5 Derby County. A few days after my birthday, I finished school for the day and when my dad got home from work he asked out of the blue (and out of character to be so impulsive) if I wanted to go watch Derby that night, I of course said yes. So we picked up a mate of mine along the way and drove to Sheffield, watched some Italian magic from both sides with Di Canio and Carbone trying their hardest (and failing) to upstage Eranio and Baiano (scored 2). Wanchope (who I loved) and Burton combined for a goal a piece….can’t remember who got the other but it was a pretty special night under the Hillsborough lights wearing that sexy orange and blue Puma number 😮💨

FlyBritishMidland reacted to Crewton in Retained List
More of a trio than a band, isn't it?
As for Washington, he was doing alright before he got injured. 5 goals/assists in 672 minutes of football is a better rate than NML (not that his influence has been remotely comparable), so to call his signature a very poor decision is an insult to real very poor decisions (which usually require a fee to be paid for very little impact). I doubt his wages are comparable either.

Bradley has proved, since he recovered from a very shaky start, that he is anything but a "very poor footballers". He may not be good enough for the Championship but he isn't poor.

It was a one off freak injury I’ve read. Unusual for football , he has been pretty much fit the rest of his career and was so in his spell with us.

I genuinely don't understand why people wouldn't give Fozzy a year based on his performances over the last 2 seasons. Yes at his age you can't look long term but he's versatile, played well and played quite a few games.

I think Barkhuizen should stay, was looking really good in the 10 role & his pressing was a key part on a frw goals at the time, shame he got an injury.
Some players will suit the Champ more than LG1, I think Barkhuizen is one of them.

This is why I love rtv , match commo by people who are invested in the club rather than sky with a commo team that struggle to even get the simplest of facts about the club, players , form ect right ,
you do a great job Owen , thank you 🐏👍

FlyBritishMidland reacted to Caerphilly Ram in James Collins live now on the EFL Pod - talks the end of season & confirms Las Vegas
Ah, and here we are a few days removed from securing our promotion through a 46 game season in which we achieved a record points total for the club, broke the record for away wins, had the best goal difference in the league, had 19 different goalscorers scoring a variety of goals to see us finish second in the league and for it all to be reduced to “cross it and hope”…. 🤣 never change Roy….

FlyBritishMidland reacted to Black ('n' White) Sheep in Summer transfer suggestion thread
I'm expecting a "Nigel Clough-era" type transfer window even with restrictions removed... 1 player bought for between £1m-£1.5m... maybe a couple of lower fees... the rest freebies and loans.

Why would the club announce their transfer budget and force the price up by the selling clubs knowing what we have available?

I like Barks as a player and a person. Very honest lad. Earnt himself an extension imo.
Going up we need to retain leaders so Collo and Sonny are a priority. Its not all about the 11 that go out on the pitch.

More footballing teams, better pitches, could the move to the Championship help some players like Barks?

FlyBritishMidland reacted to Indy in Liam Thompson
It has - but only because it’s given an insight into how great the group of players are. Celebrating with the fans from the final whistle all the way through pubs in town. Genuinely nice blokes happy for themselves, the club and the city.
Compare with other stuff I saw this week with Leicester players celebrating going up by gathering in the safety of one of their mansions and having a few drinks around the kitchen island. Soulless and removed from the fans.
Really shows what Warne has built and hopefully he can keep the spirit even through squad changes over summer.

Fa cup at city ground being 2-0 down and winning 3-2. Gets eclipsed by other Derby games. Echo the soton semi; epic night of football that had everything.

FlyBritishMidland reacted to On the Ram Page in Paul Warne
A good and more positive post than some you have made. I think some fans over-credit themselves with the view that they changed the way the team played following the defeat at Stevenage. Paul Warne and his players would have known that their performances weren’t good enough to achieve their pre-season goal of automatic promotion. The team weren’t helped by the number of injuries they had, forcing some players to play out of position etc. Warne was also not able to get some of the new players he wanted e.g. an “Adams” type player and he first spoke to Nyambe at the start of the season, but he didn’t want to sign at that stage as he thought someone higher in the pyramid would come in for him.
The team and manager fixed their form, not the irate supporters.
I sincerely hope he is able to sign the players he wants this summer, as I am keen to see how Warne plays next year. We do still need more aggression, athleticism and pace in the team. Make no mistake their will still be plenty of “roll your sleeves up” encounters next season but hopefully some very good football to go with it.

FlyBritishMidland reacted to Archied in Paul Warne
Not really , that thread , that thread ?,
this forum was made pretty much unusable for a fair time , a new Warne out thread every ten minutes , every other thread invaded and turned into a Warne out thread by a very determined few posters ,brow beating , swamping people who just wanted to support and read about derby county and happy to be patient with the manager, eventually people got sick to death with it and started to fight back against this aided by the sterling job it was becoming clearer and clearer Warne was doing ,,,then what ? A rewrite of history and veiled accusations of bullying ,,, really ?
some really need to take a long hard look at the state this forum was becoming and the behaviour of some posters who were brow beating the hell out of people on virtually every thread🤷🏻♂️

B4 is ours, and we will always hold him close to our hearts.
But when you see the sheer numbers of names on the Rams remembered tribute at Pride Park twice a season, you see the scope of Derby County fans who die each season.
They are each and every one of them someone else's B4.

This 100%, I like him as a person and also believe he's a genuinely nice bloke. Depite being in the 'out' camp after Shrewsbury away, I really hope he succeeds at PP.
