It's a pity that the PL clubs didn't take more of an interest when clubs were breaking EFL FFP rules in order to get into the PL. More appropriate punishments like instant relegation two divisions would have nipped that right in the bud, but they refused to back up the EFL in pursuing meaningful sanctions. They basically let clubs sit over the other side of a very tall fence thumbing their noses and threatening the EFL with being dragged through the courts for years.
