I’ve loved the Bowie track for years but didn’t know it was a cover until now! Wow, what a voice and what a pianist. Amazing.

We all know how this works , DCFC sign him plays a couple of games scores , does well then gets injured and hardly plays again.
Another team signs him , stays fit , scores loads of goals , gets sold for 50 Mill and plays for England

The loudest I remember was when we were down to 10 v Middlesbrough atmosphere was brilliant and went through the roof when Jonathan Hunt smacked home the winner.

It's actually the Piece Hall, very close to the station and an amazing venue. Very long queues for food and beer last time I was there, though. There seemed to be plenty of places locally to get a drink beforehand, which I am going to explore when I'm back there to see Crowded House in a couple of weeks.

Just starting the long fightback (again). Have had constant knee issues since COVID as a result of lots of road running and a stumble in a pothole. I'm a bit of a chunky unit these days and an ongoing knee issue from an uneven castle stair a few years back seems to rear its head from time to time. Short version is that I had meniscal tear in left medial and right lateral and associated ligament damage and a bit of arthritis.
I finally got fed up and decided to stump up for a private physio recently and she has helped me rebuild some strength and structure and I am now just starting to do some walks and have just dusted off my bike with view to some lower impact stuff and also because it changes the scenery rather than gym stuff which bores me after a while.
It's all a bit daunting and nothing on the scale of some of the impressive fitness efforts mentioned on here, but hey, it's my particular journey, however limited, and as a guy in his 50s I'm not quite ready to just go quietly into an armchair and crutches yet.
I have had various setbacks as I have tried to battle back but I just have to try rise above it and do what I can. I don't expect anything dramatic but from a guy who was laid up for weeks on more than one occasion and could barely walk down a flight of stairs without a handrail a year ago, I did 2 hour walk along the south west coastal path a few months back. Had a setback again but came back stronger. This time I got back on the horse more quickly and as a result the knee structures seem a bit more resilient so fingers crossed.
Mobility is a precious thing. Fight for it.

From my young niece to my Dad...all the family loved Rik Mayall. Me personally, followed his career since 'A Kick up the Eighties' and the Kevin Turvey character. Met him once after a standup show. He was very polite to myself and others. Happy to stay and do chat/autographs/pictures. We could not believe it when he passed away.

1983. 2 nil down to Newcastle at half time. The rams come out fighting in the second half to make it 2-2. Ball goes out of play and lands in my lap. As an 8 year old at the time, I managed to throw it back over the crowd barrier (second attempt!) to Archie Gemmil. He went on to win a penalty from that and slotted it away to make it 3-2. He signed my shirt after the game.

I agree, but I think it's been criticised mainly as a missed opportunity to show unity - "bad optics" - particularly as his reason for leaving wasn't because he had an important and urgent matter he had to attend to.

Lots of stats and observations suggesting this lad is potentially a bit of a beast.
Would be a seriously exciting signing, but seems there'll be a deal of competition, so I'll not be getting my hopes up.

Rishi Sunak getting allot of stick for leaving the commemorations early yesterday in order to do an interview with ITV, leaving Lord Cameron to deputise. No political comment here, but I think it would normally be expected for the PM to be there when the leaders of the other western allies were.

Good for you. I've had similar situations in the past, which made me despair and want to quit, but I was saved by good job offers coming from elsewhere. I hope you find another job soon that makes you happy rather than down.

Nothing but respect for the bloke. He scored some great goals, yes, he would go missing at times.... but as a Captain and club ambassador he was excellent. Leaves DCFC with my thanks...
