Tyler Durden reacted to Comrade 86 in The Administration Thread
Fair enough mate. I was thinking last night that there's a hurricane about to blow through English football with a lot of fans going to end up a broken-hearted. That said, anything that messes with the EFL or hastens their demise is good with me too. Probably hypocritical, but I couldn't care less.

On 2 August 2019, Bielik joined Derby County on a five-year contract. The fee was undisclosed, but reported by the Telegraph as an initial fee of below Derby's record fee paid of £8 million, plus performance-related clauses that could take it "towards the £10 million mark".
We can probably assume that involves promotion payments, so it likely to be under 8 million. Been here 3 from 5 years - paid 4.8 Million. I think we have 3.2 million or a bit less to pay of the guaranteed fee. I doubt we'll get as far as appearance, playoff, promotion attachments.

Saw a Charlton fan had contacted the EFL looking for Derby to be expelled as soon as possible, so that clubs like Charlton could know as soon as possible whether they would be having a fourth promotion spot and it would make their end of season much more exciting. Hopefully he has a proper poo day.

I think there is zero chance of three other teams getting relegated if we were to go into liquidation. Even if we were mid table, I think the number of teams being relegated would be reduced to two but I’m guessing and applying reasonable logic rather than knowledge of the rules.

I don't think it's quite as simple as that. I think the preferred bidder is the one that puts enough money on the table to allow the club to exit administration.
Their bids will also all be contingent on their conditions being met, e.g. the bid is £30m if Mel pays 50% of the MSD loan and sells them the stadium for £10m and HMRC settle for 26%.
If none of the bids actually work, then even the highest of them can't be named the preferred bidder.

Question not a statement. If we still owe money on anyone why have the EFL removed outstanding transfer fees off our charge sheet
-

But we still owe £8,000,000 of his fee. There have been some very good players come into the Championship this season from non league i e Zorba Thomas. Our recruitment has to improve by miles, especially now.

Can we make a poll on that, poster whom has contributed to the most amount of BS, misinformation, ITK crap and general tedious claptrap.
Now that WOULD be interesting

For all of the logical arguments about the demerits of a new owner acquiring the club at a price which would then incur a 15 point penalty against the team they can't be compelling if the buyers whom I would hope are astute businesspeople can't see them themselves.

Tyler Durden reacted to Ken Tram in Poll: what's going to happen?
What is the estimated difference in price between an exit from administration with a 15 point deduction, and with a zero point deduction?
It is not obvious to me that a buyer would obviously avoid the 15 point deduction.
Firstly, they may take a long term view.
Secondly, they would have £x million saved up that they could spend.

Sorry but do you actually think the buyers who are circling us at the moment are doing it because they have the clubs interests at heart?
They are doing it as they're sniffing some bargain for themselves that they then could potentially exploit given time but only if the price is low enough for them o be able to do that.

He paid £150m for Newcastle, subsidised their losses of around £15m a year for a decade or so, and sold up for £303m.
How did he make a fortune?

Maybe they think we won't hence the rationale behind the low in parentheses bids?

Not taking the mickey at all. In January they publicly stated they had bid £28M and it didn’t include the stadium. Their rejected bid was £30M, therefore an extra £2M for the job lot. Theirs is the only bid we know the numbers for, that’s why I mention them. Only quoting the information that they themselves have made public.

If the bidders are going to have to pay what is needed if they want the club then why then hasn't a buyer already been found?
You would have to surmise that there a people interested in the club but only at a price they feel it is worth, after all they are buying debt.
So how long does this go on for when Quantuma reject bids that aren't what is needed as you put it then the interested parties just walk away.
