Tyler Durden got a reaction from Crewton in Billy Sharp Chants
It's strange as the obvious conclusion that must be drawn is that whilst confronting someone making offensive comments might not be the wisest course of action doing nothing to report such abuse to a person who could act upon is viewed as condoning the behaviour in itself.

Not a contradiction. I happen to believe that madatory vaccination should be unnecessary except for people working in the health and care sector, where it is already mandatory for hepatitis. But i would respect the laws of places that decide to have mandatory vaccination for visitors to the country.
Djokovic didn't have any valid exemption, whatever anyone might have told him. So he was not entitled to stay in Australia under the terms of his visa.

Tyler Durden reacted to jono in Billy Sharp Chants
You’re missing the point. Why ? The view is pretty straight forward .. those sort of chants are hateful whoever spouts them. As it happens some of ours did it yesterday hence his comment. I think you are walking around with partisan blinkers and making a cheap shot because you know exactly what he means, your motives however seem somewhat odd.

Can understand your reticence for not wanting to approach them direct, would you not consider reporting them to stewards and or the police in that case then?

Think at the moment the most likely thing to save the club is Everton paying us lots of compo for Rooney

My dad is 94 and working class ,he would never sing abuse like that. Your theory is nonscence.

Well if exceptions can be made and there was money being divvyed up from the Prem, why not? Spare change to them!

I also had a reply from Rick Parry.
Effectively he said P&S is not fit for purpose. The loophole to sell stadiums being an example of that. He also said that parachute payments don’t work because it means that other clubs can’t compete. So they acknowledge the issues at least.
Also said they don’t encourage disputes between teams and that there’s an arbitration process to deal with them which is objective and impartial and apparently works.
Finished that they don’t want to lose Derby but they have to follow their insolvency policy consistently.

Wigan Chairman reckons it's even less than the stated figure. Possibly linked to monies owing from Byrne/Marshall deals?

Tyler Durden reacted to angieram in Billy Sharp Chants
I think the attempts to justify acceptance of this chant as just being part of youth culture are pathetic and I am disappointed that people aren't doing more to stop it happening.
These young people don't exist in isolation - many of them will be attending games with friends and family.
You need to speak up against this continuously and tell people why it is unacceptable.
Like all forms of abuse, doing nothing is not an option.
I have never been as disappointed with some on this Forum as I am today.

Not sure that’s ideal. I think Rooney is the major selling point for the club. We would be much less sought after with him gone. Selling one of the young uns to a premier league side and loaning him back would be my ideal solution

If by "stop" you mean reduce the risk of someone other than the vaccinated person getting ill or dying then you are wrong, and you wil not be right no matter how many times you say it.
I don't agree with mandatory vaccination, but if Djokovic was so opposed to mandatory vaccination he shouldn't have gone to Australia, and certainly shouldn't stay there..

I don't personally condone or join in with the chants.
I'm just giving my two cents on why other people do ?♂️

Its not banter though is it that's the issue.
That form of office "banter" at work went out with square wheels and quite rightly has been recognised for masquerading as banter when in fact it was horrific personal abuse.
