It’s not enough to look decent against the weaker sides in the league. It’s about results against the stronger sides. if we don’t get those, the gap just gets wider. 
 

Sorry Roy, that isn't true & is unfair to Clowes. The only reason Warne is here in the first place is because Clowes wanted the instant promotion that a 'League One promotion expert' could bring...otherwise Rosenior would have got the gig. 
With regard to a Warne payout, my hunch is that the club would rather he walk in face of fan protests. Its cheaper but it will mean letting the current situation play out. I'd be surprised if Clowes in private didnt have buyer remorse with Warne (even if the club mood noise is different)

They thoroughly outclassed Crewe today. They’re not quite creating the number of clear cut chances required to win consistently but I think that will come.

He's surviving based purely on the leniency of our owner as opposed to anything performance related.
Things have been better in the last week or so, but long term I remain totally unconvinced that he is the right man to take DCFC forward.

This is going to sound ‘obvious’ but I think most people felt Roseniors football was boring because we weren’t scoring. 
 
Now after stating the obvious drill down into it. In every game under Rosenior we comfortably outperformed the other side for xG - I know some of you are scared of stats and only care about ‘goals scored’ but it is a fairly objective metric for quality of chances created. If he’d had McG instead of Collins in that run of matches I believe the goals would have been there and the passing between defenders waiting for space to be created wouldn’t have felt so numbingly dull. When you’re a big fish you have to take a chance sooner than later so the other team can’t camp in their half. 
 
The way I see it is under Rosenior we lost matches we shouldn’t have but we never looked second best in our overall performance. We always controlled the game (granted not always as quickly as we liked but he’d only had about 11 games with that squad of players and a much interrupted pre season), we did create enough chances to win. Our finishing was just the worst I’d ever seen it. 
 
The game against Northampton (although poor opposition) can be the blue print to our success under Warne if we are to achieve it. Physical and aggressive to win the ball back but cultured and composed with the ball. Ball moved side to side quickly To create space. Ball moved forwards into space with purpose, low and hard. Again we weren’t playing world beaters but it was a perfect game to try and come up with a plan moving forwards as it felt like a training game at times. 
 
So many less aimless smashes up field (of which Cash has been plenty guilty). 
 
I’d go as far as to say Bradley’s distribution was the best of any defender in any match this season and should be showed to the rest of the defence on loop all week.

A point I've made a few times. Every game, there's an opposition who will do their level best to stop us doing whatever is in the plan for that game. Northampton had conceded an average of 1.21 goals per game prior to Tuesday. Their goals against tally rose by 23.5% that night. I don't believe they are as bad as that performance. Nor do I think we are as all conquering as we were Tuesday. The truth lies somewhere in between.
I think other teams will look at our games thus far this season and come to the conclusion that "get into 'em n feck 'em off" is a tactic this squad can't counter and we will see most opponents adopt that strategy. We need a Seth Johnson/George Thorne type in January to add steel to the team. I had hoped Fornah was going to be just that, he might still be but his last 3 appearances have not filled anyone with confidence.

I assume he survives by eating, drinking, breathing, sleeping, and avoiding potentially fatal situations by looking both ways while crossing the road.

I was travelling during the 11pt season. Didn’t get to touch base that often. I was in the country for the first game, went to pride park. Saw us put in a pretty decent effort to get a point from a 2-2 draw with, I want to say Portsmouth (which makes me realise things could be worse). Then headed off for adventures in Africa and beyond for 18 months.
then the only game I got to see while travelling was the win against Newcastle. So as far as I was concerned, it was a pretty good season. 4 points from 2 games. 

But anyway. 11pts. That was s*** wasn’t it?

He has a 4 year contract with the goal of establishing us in the championship. This is entirely possible from where we are now
 
If relegation from league 1 is looking possible then he will be failing to meet those targets and more importantly, unlikely to recover. We are not in that position. 
He has my support for those reasons.

I'm not on about what Warne thinks about our history though, I'm on about how, in my opinion, too many threads are turning into anti Warne threads rather than staying on topic.

So this is turning into another Warne out thread too!!!! And there I was thinking it was about our Premiership record - silly me!

I play a little bit of golf (not well). A phrase my buddy hears me say far too often is "a tee shot is only as good as the 2nd shot" when, after nailing a 280yd blondie, you then shank your 2nd shot. 
Last night's game was like that for me. Great first shot, let's see what he does for his 2nd before we believe he's cracked it.

I agree let's see how Saturday goes before everyone getting too excited! We have been here already this season, now we have to kick on and show this level of performance week in week out.
