Iversen would be a good start to the window. He is a great age, good championship experience, had 2 stints at Preston, so they thought highly of him and then a move to Stoke.
Potentially the best keeper since Carson?
He will do well to catch Carson for medals though

I reckon itll be a newbie
Nelson is a bit quiet , Bradley surely wont be a guaranteed starter , NML possible club captain but not team captain.
Ebou Adams ???

I don’t blame him for taking his dream job but I do blame him for not having the b******* to do it earlier when it was clear by most he was going
we also did him a huge favour giving him a break in management then a couple of weeks before season starts and with no signings he quits…so that’s what pissed me off and left us and Cocu in the lurch and impacted greatly on our start to the season
Ah... so thats what unchallenged means .

We should campaign to get a statue of Mick Brolly outside the ground .
It would be a great place for fans to meet up before games if it is raining.

It was great to see Stimac back for the last game
It did get me wondering though ....
Are there any Indian or croatian players who could be possibilities ?
Is there any Indian investment possible?
Are we getting any better food in the concourses ?
Or was he here on a jolly ..
Interesting. .

A fair comment, but I just don't think we know what his football is like. At this level, we are never going to pay to get Championship level players (more than just a few) as the risk of failure is too large. He has to do what he can with what he has - means justify ends, and we need(ed) promotion.
Should we be promoted on Saturday, my view is that PW starts again, a new coach on a two year deal. His new job will be very different from his last one - albeit from the same dugout. That is when, in my view, we judge the standard of his football.
Agree with this , also not many thinking if he does a great job next season he and his backroom team could get "poached" by a bigger club ??? Perish the thought we may actually be flirting with the playoffs to the premiership ... you just never know .
There will certainly be a great opportunity to build a squad to challenge .

When we go up in two games time , we will suprise many including most of the fanbase next season by flirting with the top six , eventually finishing a credible 9th , ready for a prem promotion push in 2025/2026 ..

I swear I've never come across a situation before where an element in a clubs fanbase has moaned so much about a manager with their team in 2nd place. I'm sure some of our fans have totally lost the plot.
We have had multiple seasons of below moderate expectations ... even by the madness of the elite english football world our recent history has been a dreadful downward spiral of a story .
Since the club was saved from the abyss we are making giant strides of progress behind the scenes with acadamy , corporate and communication being keystones .
The disallusionment comes from the regular dire , just plain awful, performances of the first team .
Yes we are still 2nd
Yes we can still get promotion via autos or playoffs
With a squad so highly rated by many outside of the club , we ought to at least turn it on occasionally and take a comfortable victory .
Every game is on a knifeedge .
The head coach will trot out how dangerous a team Leyton Orient / Cambridge and Carlisle are and that no team will come and get their bellies tickled .
Ffs just thump them all 4.0 and hope posh and bolton dont match our results . We need at least 1 big win as the precious goal difference advantage has almost vanished too.
How many times have we royally screwed up this seaaon when in a great position to really take an advantage ?
Ad nauseum over the last quarter of a century ....
There is still time to get glory in 2024 .
But that time is running out ..
From a fan who is teetering on the edge of losing the plot .

The great news is that Big Bad Sonny is back for the final push !!!

This was positively mentioned in the Rams forum last week . One of the things to work on as the club is rebuilt .

Mike Ashley or the Redrow Housing fella, Steve Morgan, would very my guesses if we got promoted.
The 2020 edition of the Rich List estimated his net worth at £751 million, a fall of £199 million on the previous year. In February 2019, Morgan received an apology and damages from the Daily Mail after being falsely accused of buying Redrow properties at an undervalue.

Just sick of three at the back and literally playing 5 in defense at home, its awful football we are playing at present
Weirdly the best football seen IMHO at pride park was with 3 at the back ..Laursen Stimac Rowett......
It was what was infront and behind them that made a significant difference

I think we're getting to the point where it's essential if he's not the new Croft/Teale/Camara/Jozefzoon. Blimey, we've had some wingers.
Teale used to be sh##e , but now hes alright .

When the football card designers didnt have a transferred player in their new colours , they used to draw the new colours on . There are loads of examples from a few years collections in the seventees . All of them are laughable .

At the start of every season.
Attractive, exciting football and the ability to grind out results with steely, knarled winners sprinkled with some dynamic new signings and home grown youth ..
A real hunt for promotion , a good run in the cups ... ...
Then the reality takes shape ... removed from both "major" cups before November is out .
The attractive football and ability to dig in is, at best, an occasional occurance .
We are bang average, looking adrift of where my dreams and expectations, however realistic, were situated .
Still, i have a new dream now ....
Is it too far a stretch, to dream of a double wembley visit, play off success and a trophy win???
I know many thousands will share my dream .... can all the pieces be put together in time for this season?

I'm surprised RD haven't already asked Warne if Bird, Cashin or Sibley have a year's option on their current contracts similar to Knight this summer.
It seems we're all resigned to them leaving for free/compensation if not sold in January.
Radio derby only ask pre agreed questions . The club won't want this issue discussed whilst there is adverse noise in the fan base .. more bad news could turn the atmosphere even more toxic.
A few wins is what's needed in November, then the pill of losing Bird & Cashin will be sweeter when we get "affordable replacements"
Out of interest who do you think may come in with an acceptable bid for Sibley ? He has hardly set the team on fire for a good while now .

Having good character, living the right way , being settled at home ...
That's why Brian and Pete spent so much time checking potential signings out .... the core of the team .
Then the odd maveric or perceived bad boy can be integrated where needed .

I reckon he is shaping up to be a top quality LWB , for his home town club who are the up .
If he is insistant that he doesnt want to play there , time to move on .
There are lots of examples of players who find that their best positions are not the ones they originally played .
Of course all the contract negotiations may have nothing to do with the above .
