I hear Owen Coyle is a big fan.

NottsRam reacted to Comrade 86 in Watchable telly
Yep. Watched a couple of episodes thus far. It's good stuff. Down to earth police drama without the contrived nonsense of other police shows.

NottsRam got a reaction from Jimbo Ram in Watchable telly
Watched the first two episodes of series 1 - I'm hooked. Great drama with believable characters and acting is high standard.

Same but enough fair judges giving it a good write up so will be watching S01 this weekend if this crappy weather persists.

NottsRam got a reaction from Rev in Watchable telly
Just completed series one, it really is super television. I always gave it a miss assuming it would be a bit too cosy but it is quite brutal at times, physically and emotionally. Looking forward to starting series 2 later

NottsRam reacted to ram59 in Barnsley (H) (FACR3) Sun 8th Jan, 12:30 KO
There's one glaring omission there, Fozzy is ahead of them all in my opinion, atm. Another superb performance from him yesterday, in his tenth year at the club, having come back from 3 ACL injuries.

Not seen any of the three series. Considering giving it a go, convince me!

NottsRam reacted to Anag Ram in Watchable telly
A family member who was a senior police officer said it was the most authentic TV police drama.
Sarah Lancashire lives the role and the characters are well drawn.
James Norton is also brilliant as the baddie you will really want to slap, mixing menace with the type of charm that wins people over.
You’ll know within the first episode whether it’s right for you.

NottsRam reacted to Bob The Badger in Watchable telly
Bummed and disappointed by Tokyo Vice. It's like a poor man's poor version of a poor man's poor Giri/Haji for poor people who have been robbed and have no money
Then bored with the cliche ridden and hamfisted/poorly acted Yellowstone. And I normally love Costner.
Mayor of Bridgetown seems ok, 3 episodes in, but there's some shoddy and predictable scriptwriting.
I think I may becoming a miserable duck

NottsRam reacted to Ram-Alf in RIP Dennis Cross
DC was a "football hooligan" that's for sure, So was I and 1000s of others, Maybe you could say It was a product of Thatcherism for organised football hooliganism in the 80s...But then it all started in the 30s in the London Docks with Millwall and West Ham, So Thatcher only takes a little credit.
Maybe you've been lucky enough not to get cornered in a bar where other fans want to kick the living shyte out of you, Then walks in DC and a few more and the cavalry are here, He wasn't a bully(not that I'm aware of)he's done some damn stupid things of which he paid for, But one things for sure I'd sooner DC at my side than the official football hooligans that were the Police.
Enjoy your Xmas

NottsRam got a reaction from Carnero in Derby or England on Saturday?
Derby, all day, every day. Would love to see England win the WC but won't upset me if they don't. Losing at Burton would be far worse for me.

NottsRam got a reaction from Anag Ram in Test Cricket is Back
Staggering result for England. A new era of Test cricket is well and truly underway, not to say we are the best team but will go for wins at all costs by the looks of it.

NottsRam reacted to Steadybreeze in FA cup
Used to look forward to first & last league games, boxing day fixture and 3rd round FA Cup tie, usually freezing cold and usually lose!
Sunday lunchtime is the worst possible time to watch a game, i won't be braving Sunday morning public transport for this one, Ill leave it to the Uber fans.
I wonder how many others won't bother also, would the foreign TV rights make more money for the club than 3000-4000 less in the crowd?
